    That is awesome to see that car running down the road! It's too bad that today's NASCAR has shifted from teams building the entire car by hand, to now just putting parts together. Those were my favorite years watching NASCAR with my grandfather. Glad you could help save one more (especially one with so much history)!

    In '92, the Pontiacs had the same GM10 body that had come out in '88, with some changes in the front valance area over the years. They ran that body until the "wide-track" body came out in '96...so that chassis would've had later-model bodies put on it as needed.
    And since the Pettys last ran Pontiacs during the 2000 season...the same year STP stepped back as the main sponsor and Cheerios came on board (midway through the season if I remember right), it would mean that that car was last updated during the second half of that season and retired afterwards. I'm sure they wouldn't have been using a Pontiac show car after they went to Dodge in 2001. (You might have mentioned all this in previous videos...but I haven't had a chance to watch them all yet.)
