  • Held every 17th of January, the Queseo Festival, highlights the towns main product, the Queseo or white cheese which wereade by the townsfolk of Compostela. Also on the same day, the Compostelanhons celebrated their Founding anniversary as a town. Dated back on January 17, 1919 when the first mayor of Compostela, former mayor Hilario A. Kanen declared that Compostela will be separated from Liloan, a Municipality located on the southern side of Compostela. The Queseo Festival depicts the process of making the Queseo, also the Queseo makers are most notably found in the mountainous barangays of Dap dap, Mulao, Tag ubi, Panangban, Tubigan, Cabadiangan, Bagalnga, Basak and Lupa, but you can also find some Queseo makers in Barangays Estaca, Poblacion, Tamiao Canamucan, Cambayog, Buluang, Cogon, and Magay
    Before the Queseo Festival, there was it's ancestor festival known as Caballo Festival. Caballo Festival was last showcased on July 25, 2012. The said festival on lasted for 7 years starting way back in 2005. Later on, Compostela adopted the "One Town, One Product" rule hence the Queseo Festival was born.

    5. Pag Kutaw
    6. Pag hulma
    7. Pag putos
    together all of these basic steps incorporated with other dance steps and the jolly beat of the music creates a very graceful dance of Queseo Festival.
