I'm thinking of getting the Ibanez AZ HSS with hyperion pickups and a 9 way switch selector. It's crazy. Very versatile. Yours is a very nice HH AZ model. Beautiful colour, and you play amazing. I'm jealous. You have 230 subs, but I'm surprised you don't have at least 230K
I just bought myself an AZ to! My first impressions are very positive and I like the pickups a lot for most of the stuff I play. BUT... I have problems with getting a good 80's palm muted thrash sound out of it. The overall sound is a bit... Loose? Do you have any recommendations regarding pickup height? Mine are at factory specs I think (2mm at bridge). Or is it just a matter of EQ settings? At least it sounds good when you're playing! 👍

Hey mate! This is exactly what I am doing: Playing with my leg leg on a footstool. It is working good, did not face any issues that would somehow disturb me playing
Are you using gain on TS or just volume/boost? It the HK a solid state like Tony MacAlpine uses now or is it a tube head. Thanks. I am trying to figure out my sound. Cheers.
Hey mate, yes more or less as a boost. Gain to zero, full volume, full tone. The HK Black Spirit is a Solid state amp BUT it has a fully analog tone generator and the awesome sagging knob which allows you to set up the amount of saturation. You can make it sound like a tube amp! Such an awesome amp, can absolutely recommend it!

Only metal guy I know using AZs is Blake from counterparts but I think he has fishmans in his guitars.
