charles mallo yes the RAF delivered as promised however the Army was never happy with the DZs in Arnhem, as they knew they were too far from the paras objectives.
For Years now the Polish and NATO Partners participate in the mass drop and memorial service at the Ginkel Heath at Ede. The dropping at Ede is now also part of a larger NATO exercise. When I was younger, only British Para's jumped. At one occasion they could have gone by bus to the ceremony because of adverse weather conditions, but they insisted in being dropped. As a result some of them (including the Chaplain) ended up in trees or miles from the dropzone in a pond.

Hopefully this time the Brit c130 dropped them closer to the bridge at Arnem.
Maybe 30 corps will get there on time too.
In '44 the Brits dropped the para's bang on target. If that target was the smartest choice can of course be debated ;-)

What's the Luftwaffe C-160 doing there?,bit of an insult isn't it?.Pity there was no Polish representative there.
The German C-160 is participating for many years. There was a Polish C-295 but i flew later.

of all, they had to use a German plane? LOL
Could have used it for target practice just like the good old days.
