Great video, Boy. I love your da telling stories and I loved his chat with his buddy at the mart. Great great video. Keep them coming! And well done on the good price for the lambs!
Great video again guys love the stories of the old times your dad is a great man .. keep up the good work and thanks for taking your time to share this with us
Glen you need to do an introduction video of all the people who help you on the farm during lambing, who your t shirt models are, people behind the camera, your mother, your wife and things involving your operation. I love the history stories your father tells.
Your Dad is a star. He'll have his own show yet. Great interview with the old boy. Reminds me of the old folk here. They have far better craic. When do you scan! We are heading into snow this weekend so getting feed out to the hill tomorrow. Keep up the videos. We look forward to you all on Friday!
Great video Glyn and John, your dad is great at telling stories, I noticed a nice fiesta @ 9:23, not too many yokes like that about now with test centre bastards, another money racket
Hi Glyn, that was a lovely video, I enjoyed the chat between your father and the other mature age chap. Between the good chat, and the fine sunny day it would be enough to make this ould fella head for the emerald Isle for a holiday to escape the heat here, 42 degrees here today, no fun in that. I'm looking forward to the next video already.
I bet your dad didn’t have to do so much paperwork when he was younger , I didn’t even know cows have to have passports until about five years ago my friend who is a farmer told me & I thought he was joking tbh , thank you for another brilliant video 😊
Great video again Glyn it's just lovley to hear your dad talk of times past.if you have no cats don't get any, cats and sheep really don't mixthey can spread disease that causes abortion in sheep
Great video Glyn, your Dad is a mighty man for the stories. I'd rethink the cats as unless you neuter them they will multiply as quick as rats. Also not great for ewes in lamb.
Welcome back and as always beautiful spectacular gorgeous captured and the filming camera work looks super awesome super amazing .. well done and super great job .. million thanks again for sharing such an amazing job and have a wonderful blessing weekend to you and your beautiful family over there .. best regards from Montreal QC Canada
Great video, I could listen to your Father talking all day long. He reminds me of so many characters I’ve met in Lyrecrompane, and Duagh over my many years of going to visit family.
Hi Glyn, great Thumbnail photo. Good to see your dad smiling in the photo as he doesn't seem to smile a lot. Glad that you ended up getting some good money for the Sheep you didn't want to keep. It was interesting to see how many different bright colors of paint was used to paint the buildings on the Main Street through town. Enjoyed your dad's story about the Catholic Priest. It is true that in the early years the church had a lot of power over their communities. That guy was pretty brave to remove his Schilling from being tossed in the fire. I appreciate that you put a transcript of what your dad says as he talks so fast it is hard to catch all of what he says.
Great video. Your dad is such a joy to watch, love his stories. You need to hire a ratter to bring their dogs. They are pretty effective at getting rid of the rats.
Beautiful countryside, you have there. Really enjoy watching you and your Dad farming, your Dad's and his friend's recollections are epic. The sun is shining here, too, but -47C with a wind chill of -69C hard on livestock and they really go through the feed. Watch Sean Woods channel for the best rat traps.
I drove down through Kilgarvin a few hours ago . If Rae's bar was open I'd be still there. Look into getting owl boxes for your farm. No rats then if the owl comes
Glyn if you decide to get some cats reach out to a local animal rescue and see if they have some barn cats. Barn cats are basically strays that aren't suitable to a life indoors with humans for one reason or another (temperament, age, fear). Also I'm sure your dogs are well trained enough not to go eating the dead rats killed by the poison, but to be on the safe side keep the dogs away until you've cleared all the poison and poisoned rats, because you don't want your dogs to be poisoned too. Also out of curiosity what kind of glue do you use to glue the stickers on the sheep at the sales market? Thanks for another great video!
Your father and his mates are great craic. There was great characters back then all over the country. Remember my Grandfather telling me of a man like the lad who only paid a shilling who always stood up against the priest and then quit going into mass but would meet up with locals outside for the craic. He was more respected by most than the priest.
In one of your videos you and your dad were up near the forest and you could not see your dad with the mist ye both should have a whistle in case one of you get injured
