Hi Cliff, well done indeed! You explained it all beautifully, and yes, it does look easy to do. I am originally from Edinburgh but have been in exile for 50 years living in Northern Ireland. Seeing this scene made me feel a little homesick. That was an excellent tip regarding starting at the brightest side first. Love watching your vlogs - long may you continue...
Another instructive video. ❤❤❤. One question I have. You said to focus one third into the image and understandably started the sequence on the left side. I am wondering where exactly you put the focus point (in the video one third appeared to be just water). Thank you for your response. Keep up the great work. Cheers …
Focus on the bridge pillars in your brightest first shot, no need to refocus again when rotating camera. Everything should be in focus with Aperture from F11-F16. This way your hyper focal distance shouldn’t be effected with anything in your foreground with the nearby bridge pillars. Hope this helps.
Great location it remains ! Ok Cliff, so you focus a third way in into the side where the light is the brightest. And the other pictures, do you switch to manual focus then or do you keep autofocus on ? And do you keep on adjusting the exposure or do you use the exposure from the brightest side ? Thanks again !!
On the other pictures do not focus again, you may have to switch your focus to manual from the start if your camera keeps adjusting focus. Do not adjust exposure for other images. Keep exposure same all the way through Marcel. 👍
You really need to try and use a tighter focal length to stop the bending of the bridge wide lens has to much parallax for straight lines. Also you never showed the pictures you were taking and one more thing white ballance you did not set your WB first surly it's a manual setting uou need to do. Great location I have been many times but never to that new three bridge location. Thanks for the W3W
Hi Paul. Yes there’s a few points I missed out in the Vlog especially the white balance setting and single point of focus, It’s a fab location, you just need to jump the fence, which a lot of folk seem to think it’s Illegal! I managed about 30 panos that night only put together 5 of them. I know the Parallax is a hard one at that location as the bridge has a natural curve to it even with a focal length at 35mm it’s hard to do without a crop on the image. I’m now firing up to Glencoe in the mountain mate hopefully for a glorious sunrise summit shot and face the midge’s! 🪰😂
@@paulcomptonpdphotography your welcome anytime mate. I will show you the highlights of Fife. Just give me a tinkle when your about I will get the brews on…
Cracking image

I am not a photographer, but I love your videos! Thank you Cliff!
Maybe come.see a few of mine haha 😄
Great Pano's, must remember to take mine out of Aperture Priority as some of my Pano's look so soft in detail.
