Love this video! I have 75 gallon and was going to go with the 150watt. Would the 150 watt be over kill for a mixed reef or should go with the 100 watt?
I was thinking about getting 2 100w for my 40 gallon breeder would that be overkill. I see above you said 100 would be enough but wasn't sure if that was saying 1 would be enough or 2 would be better considering the spread on these is 30x30 but the tank itself is 36 inches long
Awesome video. You've convinced me to give them a go. Do you know the dimensions of the led lights? (The black housing of the 2 led pucks) Can't seem to find the dimensions anywhere online
Get the 150 and then turn it down I am basically doing the same thing on a 40 gallon breeder and the corals love it, but that way when you upgrade your tank size you have one less thing to buy
I just got a blue tang a week ago how come he doesn't swim around like yours does ? Mine is terrified of me only is active when i feed. Was yours like that at first ?
Would you be able to do another video with the lights wound up higher? I have a Juwel Rio 240 that I would like to use these lights on for an SPS tank and would like to see what sort of numbers you get up to. Maybe 100% Blue and 60 - 80% white Thanks
i have a 100w for my 15 peninsula, i don't have a par meter. do you suspect 5% on the white and 50 % on the blue would be a safe bet. i would be ok with 125 par at the top and less the lower i go. any help would be superb
You only want 125 par at the top? That sounds low. The lights work at 5% then 20% increments. I suggest 40% to 60% blue and 5% white. Should give you around 200 par at the top. No way to know unless you measure the par.
Yes still running them. They are good. No issues this far. I have a mixed LPS and softies tank. I uploaded a shorts video recently, check it out to see progress.
Great video man, I love BRS but it seems they are only interested in selling their products. We need more on these cost sufficient lights.
I agree. The hobby does not need to be a money pit.

You should be ok with 2 x 100w. You probably do not need the 150.
Will the 100Watt be enough for a 40 breeder?
Yes !! 100 w for a 40 is enough.

Thanks for this!

10 5/8 inch long (side to side) 6 1/4 in wide front to back)
How did you get the light mounts over the aquarium rim???
I'm thinking about getting these lights but heard can't use them on rimmed tanks that true??
Great vid I was wondering if this 100 w for my petco 29 gallon or the 150w? What would you recommend between the 2

Nice tang

Every fish is different, give it time
@@audiomanmikhes doing great now absolutely great im so happy 😂
@@Coral-reef. yeah, they take different time to acclaim. Happy to year. :)
Great video which ones would you suggest for a 125 lps and soft tank dimensionsare 72×18x23 ? 3 100watt fixtures ?
I'm wondering the same thing. im thinking 1 150 and 2 100's.

I will upload with both blues and whites at 100% soon.
Would one of those be good on a 29 gallon long tank?
For a standard 75 softie tank, im thinking two 150s? Too much huh
The light looks very purple instead of Blue. Is that an accurate statement or can it be changed to more of a blue look?
It’s more blue. I have them.
Hi Azam,
do you plan to create the video doing the par reading per light intensity and light position?
Nice tang how long have you had it? Mine is about an inch right now.
I have had him for about 2 or 3 years. He was one of my first additions. A pretty big bully i would say.
Did you have to cut into the plastic trim to mount those? The mounts they gave me won't pass over the lip where u put glass lids.
Can you explain how you got them attached to the tank? Thank you for the video. I’m feeling more confident about getting these lights
@@db19812009 lights work amazing btw. I just set mine on the glass for now. I seen others use a wedge between the glass and the bracket.

@@azamhassim I have the 50w that was my mistake I wrote the 100w accidentally somehow lo
For a mixed reef LPS dominant on a 40 breeder, would 2 50 watts work or 2 100 watts?
I would suggest 2x100w
Its depth of the tank you need to worry about not width.
You still running these? How do you like them?

@@azamhassimwhat is your setting for these?
I just purchased a 100 watt for my 20 gallon long tank. It says the spread is 24x24 do you think I'll be ok
how did it turn out? im debating beween the 100w or the 150w for my 20 gallon long
@@jayronimo1942 always go a little over whats needed and use less power.
Yes 1 x 100w good for a 20 hgal long tank... you may have low par on the sides. Just mount the light higher.
