    Hello, thank you for this instruction, successfully flashed 2 NAS-WR01W devices 2 years ago. Now want to flash it back to default firmware. Do you have stock firmware?

    Is there any way to reprogram tywe2s/wb2s/eps-02s wifi module if you have only Windows OS?

    Hi. During soldering I;ve damaged 3.3 pin. Where can I find alternative pin 3.3? Thx.

      I'm sorry but I don't know. Maybe you can scrape off some solder mask around the missing pad?

    Hello ! Nice howto thanks, I have just done my first NeoCoolCam without any problem ;) I have also the same plug without power consumption , have you already try to flash it? Thanks

    • @MahlerLab
      @MahlerLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The plug without power monitoring, I think it should be a 10A model. I've never used one (since I needed power monitoring). AFAIK it has a different PCB and pinmap, so you should adjust the pin numbers. Check this page out. templates.blakadder.com/neo_coolcam_NAS-WR01W-10A.html

    Question: everyone tells me you need to connect GND with GPIO0 to enter flashmode. But you didn't?

    • @MahlerLab
      @MahlerLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      07:46 The button is connecting GND to GPIO0 so you have to hold the button down before powering up the board to enter to flash mode.

    I flashed some years ago, 2 plugs, but for some reason the flash is not working anymore, with new plugs. The nodemcu indicates "Waiting MAC". I checked and tested the wiring, and soldering. I have RX/TX which are crossed between plug and "USB2TTL " adapter. I also check that the chip on the device is still using ESP8266.
    Anyone faced the same issue?

    • @MahlerLab
      @MahlerLab  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I heard the manufacturer switch from ESP chips to something else in later models. Perhaps that's why you couldn't make a connection. So sad...😥

    • @nicolasvila
      @nicolasvila 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MahlerLab Well, that was my first thought but I checked the chip at the bottom and it's still an ESP. What's written on it is ESP8266EX (442019 JB00PPMX56) Long press on the button for 5sec switch from operation slow blinking (WiFI AP/ pairing mode) to fast blinking (download mode?)
      Not sure it is as simple to switch to download mode, even with an ESP.

    • @MahlerLab
      @MahlerLab  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just in case... Did you plug in the FTDI adapter while holding the button down? Did you cross-connect TX and RX?

    • @nicolasvila
      @nicolasvila 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MahlerLab Yes, indeed, I was holding the button and cross-connected TX/RX with the adapter. I tried with another plug (I bought five devices) and the result is the same. No serial data received.
      When I plug the adapter, it does not make any difference. I suspect that maybe they changed the hardware (GPIO0 may not be linked to the button) or they disabled UART after/with the initial flash... ?
      The led has 2 modes : slow blinking (pairing mode) or fast blinking (I don't know what it is but maybe not flash mode) and I can switch from one mode to the other by holding the button pressed for 5 sec.
      I like these devices and I'm affaid I will have to reassemble them without success. I will have to give "tuya cutter" a try or "tuya convert"
