An underrated Trail - Plattweg Trail (3Länder Enduro Trails) Full Run

- The Plattweg Trail is often left out because it is much more comfortable to take the cycle path along Lake Reschen from the Haideralm back to Schöneben or Nauders. That's why he leads - wrongly in my opinion - a shadowy existence. The trail has (almost) everything you could wish for from a mountain bike trail.
But there is probably another reason why many skip the Plattweg. It doesn't matter where you start your enduro tour in the Reschen area, you most likely have exhausted legs and arms many skip the ride with the gondola up to the Haideralm. The Plattweg - which starts just below the Haiderlm - is a challenge, especially in terms of fitness. In terms of driving technique, it's not too difficult. It has one or two tricky sections, but above all it's a physical challenge if you try to keep the pace up.
The trail is littered with boulders and lets the vertical drop or roughly 220 meters go only very reluctantly. From time to time it even goes uphill, but never for very long. But you have to keep pedaling to maintain your momentum.
In between, however, it always rewards you with magnificent views of Lake Reschen and the 3000+ meter summits above the Langtauferer valley. Incidentally, at the end of the Plattweg Trail you are not quite down in the valley, after a few meters on the fire road you join the Lower Spin Trail and can then continue down the valley via the Gorf Trail or a small hidden variant.
For me personally, it is one of the most beautiful trails in the 3Länder Trail area. But it also meets my preference for physically demanding trails. If you are looking for flow or primarily downhill and want to save your power for that, you may prefer the way back via the Reschensee cycle path in the future.

Now these are my kind of trails! I could not understand what you were saying, but your heavy breathing shows how difficult the trail was, and how hard you were working. OMG, thank god you didn't clip your handlebars on that fence. Fantastic riding Christian. Also, congrats on 800 subs, you deserve way more.

Ja eben, der wird oft links liegen gelassen. Ist mit dem Spin Trail und dem Gorf Trail eine sehr coole Verbindung zurück zur Schöneben Bahn.
Ma ist das geil dort! Super gefahren! 👌 KA, ob ich das fahren könnte, weils auf der Gopro immer flacher ausschaut. Ich muss dort echt mal hin. Das ist einfach ein Paradies! 🥰
Danke Dir! Das geht schon, der Trail ist meistens eher seicht bergab, das macht ihn grad körperlich schwer. Einzelne Stellen sind etwas steiler, aber nie lang. Insgesamt kann ich den Reschen nur empfehlen. Viel schöner wird Mountainbiken nicht 😉

Richtig erkannt, das war lange vor dem Sturz. Genau genommen vor zwei Jahren. Die Fahrt hatte ich auf einer Wechselfestplatte gut archiviert und vergessen 😜🙈

Moin, sind im Juni wieder dort. Geht der viel bergauf oder gehts? Gopro ist ja immer so ne Sache...
Er geht schon primär bergab, aber er hat ein paar recht knackige Gegenanstiege drin. Und auch die flachen Passagen sind fordernd, weil man ordentlich arbeiten muss um das Tempo oben zu halten.

Du könntest aber schon auch Pausen machen wenn du eh schon so schnaufst. 😂🤣😅
Kennst mich ja, mach nicht gern Pausen, je länger & schwerer ein Trail umso besser 😂
