I made the demo by my own two years ago... The video got lost in the youtube backend and that's why it is posted again;).
But you are right... Camera angle from behind would have been better. Think I'll do a new one....
wow Florian is the only drummer I've seen do brushwork using matched grip... I didn't think it was possible, but he a beast with matched grip brushwork..
Max Roach, Steve Gadd now is using a lot matched grip, Ari Hoenig, Bill Stewart also!
I'm buying a pair of these, a snare drum, and a snare stand next month.
When is he making a signature brush? Is there one? Cause I think he more than deserves it. I don't even play with brushes, but if vic came out with some Florian Signatures I'd pick some up and learn! He's awesome!
They sound almost as good as you do on the drums.
mine have a squeak when i use them. is that normal?
I bought some of these and noticed the same thing. Listening to this video with good headphones, I hear the same "squeak" in certain parts of this demo. I thought I had really bad brush technique. I then thought to check out some videos online and now upon hearing that sound, I feel a bit better. Still not as good as this guy though!!!
I don't know if it's my computer but I can barely hear the bass drum.
