Man I really wish that one handed feature was available in the heavy duty. Paying for this rack would be overkill for me.
Whelp looks like I’m cancelling my Quikr Mach 2 order in the morning! It isn’t scheduled to ship until mid may but since this new rack literally checks all my boxes I am placing my order! I only went with the quikr rack cause I wanted all the features of the xtreme duty but in a 4 bike setup which wasn’t possible. This new rack also holds more weight in a 4 bike configuration than the quikr. Plus the wheel chocks sold me lol.. I just can’t believe I’m dropping almost 2700 on this setup with all the accessories 😭
Yeah, it's definitely an inexpensive purchase. But if there is a nuclear war, the bike rack will survive. Thank you for taking the time to watch my friend and add to the conversation.

I own the pre- 2024 1up Super Duty single place bike rack. I want to buy the "new" single place Super Duty add-on rack to attack to it. Will the new superduty add-on be compatible or mount properly on to my older superduty rack? Do the mounting tabs align? I do not want to buy the lesser capacity and narrower Heavy Duty version add on.
Ray, this is an excellent question and I am going to reach out to Kurt to verify the answer. I do not want to give you inaccurate information.
Great question! It will fit, but it might look a little odd. The current HD is basically the same as the SD you bought (we increased the capacity with the launch of the new SD), so we'd recommend that add-on.
Will I be able to upgrade my current Super Duty to these beefier trays/one handed mechanism? I love the foldable feature of the current SD as I store it in my trunk when not in use, but it doesn’t look like the new rack has this feature?
Yes, you can use the new trays on your old wrack. 1UP addressed this question in a response to a similar question. It's a great question though and prudent of you to ask.
The new rack does fold. I asked that question myself, as mine is permanently mounted to my truck and folded up when not in use.

Nice, but they need to have an orderable option for swing out tires and pick up tailgates or better yet, just provide drilled and tapped holes to reconfigure them!

Thanks for the suggestion! We make the RakAttach swingout and a few extensions that accommodate most spare tire options!
Does the super duty fold easily for storage or are tools required to do this (if it's even possible)?
It folds upright as it would on the back of your vehicle. When I was taking my on and off my truck, I had a hitch plate anchored onto my wall that I would hang it from, which kept it off the floor and out of the way.
I meant does it fold compactly together like the 1 Up HD model (like how the HD arrives in the box) or like the Quikrstuff Mach 2?

We definitely aren't a cheap option, but the new rack is actually less expensive than most of our competitors similar racks! And it's built to last, with durable materials and replaceable parts!
