Hi everyone, my name is Toma. I like to talk about studying abroad, career development, and personal finance. If you are interested in this content you can join my channel.
In this video, I talked about different costs that you have to bear during the admission and visa process in Canada. This is the minimum requirement even if you get a full scholarship. I hope this video will help you manage your personal finances while you are thinking about coming to Canada in fall 2022 as a graduate or undergraduate student.
Different costs include IELTS fee, University application fee, medical, lawyer fee, CA evaluation fee, visa fee, plane fare, tuition fee (if you don't have funding), cash in hand.
I also talked about different challenges during the admission and job finding process in this video. Hope you enjoy it.

আপনার সিজিপিএ দেখে আমি কখনোই ভবিষ্যৎবানী করতে পারবোনা যে আপনি স্কলারশিপ পাবেন কিনা৷ কারন শুধু একটা ফ্যাক্টর এর উপর ভিত্তি করে স্কলারশিপ দেয়া হয়না৷ ওভারল সব কিছু মিলিয়ে টপ প্রফাইলগুলো স্কলারশিপ এর জন্য বিবেচিত হয়৷ আপনার আলাদা করে কিছুই করা লাগবে না৷ নিজের জায়গা থেকে সেরা প্রফাইল তৈরি করা ছাড়া আমাদের আর করার কিছুই নেই৷
ধরেন আপনার প্রোফাইল খুব ভালো৷ আপনার সাথে অন্য যারা তারা আপনার থেকেও ভালো৷ তাহলে স্কলারশিপ পাবেন না৷ আবার ধরেন আপনার প্রোফাইল মোটামুটি অন্য সবাই আপনার থেকেও খারাপ তাহলে কিন্তু চান্স পেয়ে যাবেন।
আন্ডারগ্রাডের অনেকে জানতে চাইছো অনার্সের স্কলারশিপ হয় কিনা৷ আমার জানামতে খুব রেয়ার৷ তোমার যদি স্ট্রং ফাইনান্সিয়ার সাপোর্ট না থাকে তাহলে আমি বলবো দেশ থেকে অনার্স করে কানাডা আসতে।

Hi Toma. I think you are doing a fantastic job here and helping out the community remarkably. I am just a little confused about the payment of tuition fees. Like, when do I pay my tuition fees? Is that after I get my Visa or before getting the Visa, just to secure my admission at my desired institution? What happens if I have already paid my tuition fees and my visa application gets rejected subsequently! Kindly elucidate. TIA.
After visa is recommended. Paying tuition before visa makes u look desperate. Credit card die pay kora jay. Direct bank to bank transfer kora jay. Talk to your bank

আমারও একি প্রশ্ন,,আমি আগামী বছর(২০২৩) সালে HSC দিব।
আমার মেয়ে এবার এইচএসসি পরীক্ষা দেবে। গতমাসে সে ielts- দিয়ে ৭.৫ পেয়েছে। তার পছন্দ জীব বিজ্ঞান। কানাডায় ভবিষ্যত আছে এমন একটি বিষয় কি তার জন্য সাজেশন দেয়া যায়?

Excellent. IELTS এ ভালো স্কোর থাকলে কানাডাতে ভাল ভাল ইউনিভার্সিটি গুলোতে ভর্তির কোন সমস্যা হয় না। ৭.৫ পাওয়ায় কানাডাতে ভর্তির রাস্তা অনেক সহজ হলো। তবে ৮.০ বা ৮.৫ পেলে কানাডাতে ভর্তির জন্য বা Scholarships এর জন্য অধিকাংশ ক্ষেত্রে কানাডার ইউনিভার্সিটি গুলোই ছাত্রদের পেছনে দোড়ায়।
কানাডাতে Foreign Students এর জন্য টিউশন ফিস খুবই Expensive. Local or immigrants students এর তুলনায় ১০ থেকে ১৫ গুন বেশী। তাই প্রথমে Immigration নিয়ে কানাডায় পোঁছানোর পর লেখাপড়ার কাজে লাগাটাই অনেক উত্তম। কারণ Immigrant Students রা একদিকে যেমন খুবই সস্তায় লেখাপড়া করতে পারে, অন্য দিকে কানাডা সরকারের বিভিন্ন Scholarship packages, loan, এবং অন্নান্য সুযোগ সুবিধা পায় যাহা Foreign Students কল্পনাও করতে পারেনা। কানাডার ইউনিভার্সিটি গুলোর প্রায় ৯৫% ছাত্রই Local or immigrants students এবং প্রায় সকলেই কোন না কোন কানাডা সরকারের study package ই লেখা পড়া করে। উদাহরণ স্বরূপ বলা যায় যে, টরন্টোতে বিভিন্ন কলেজ ইউনিভার্সিটি গুলোর শতকরা ৯৮% ভাগ ছাত্রই OSAP নামক Student Loan package এর সুবিধা নিয়ে লেখা পড়া করে। আমার মেয়েও এভাবে OSAP এর মাধ্যমে Fashion Designing এর উপর লেখাপড়া করতেছে। কারণ সে নিজেই Immigrant and PR Card Holder. কানাডাতে টিউশন ফিসের গোপন রহস্য নিয়ে আমার চেনেলেও কিছু ভিডিও আছে।

Thanks for the information. I have a little question. I had completed my graduation in 2018, from the national university. My subject was Accounting (BBA) and the result was 2.90. Now I am preparing myself for the IELTS exam. I hope I could score 6.5 at least. Is it possible to go to Canada as a student for MBA with this result (2.90) and almost 4 years study gap? By the way, currently, I am working at a private company.
