Hey. Thank you so much this was great. You make great videos. They feel more 'real' than others I've watched 😊 dunno if that makes sense haha like a friend with a lot of experience with plants just helping me learn about my plants.
Very helpful. I have a stump on watering and luckily I’ve been out of fertilizer for about two months. I’ll keep watering that hard dry stump and wait till it starts putting out a new leaf. Thanks for the tip. Mine wasn’t in a promenade spot. It’s behind some calatheas. I now know I need to move it.
hello! i just bought my first alocasia plant! i’m wondering also for this and my other plants what grow lights u recommended? i keep my plants by my windows but since its winter it’s not getting much light
Loved this Alocasia care video! Thanks! I've learned (the hard way) how to maintain Silver Dragon, Polly, Hilo Beauty but absolutely cannot keep Jaclyn alive!! I also struggle with Black Velvet and can kill a Flying Squid just by looking at it!!😂😂 Thanks for the info!!👍🙌❤️
I'm a complete beginner with an Alocasia plant. After a few weeks of buying it, I noticed one of the larger stems drooping so, I tied it to the other large stem to have it be and grow more upright. Unfortunately that broke the stem and it's now collapsed part way, with the leaf lying on the floor. I can share a photo if it helps. Any advice on what to do next?
Alocasia cycle through their leaves more often than many other species. It’s possible that the leaf was just old and the plant is getting ready for a new leaf. It’s also possible the plant is going dormant for the winter.
i have mine in self watering pots under a grow light. they are super hungry & thirsty plants for sure!
Yes they are!

@@Fanciplants So should I prune/remove the stem or would you recommend something else?
Yes I would prune it!
