Shout out Albee al this ain’t got nothing to do with being tuff, nor promoting violence; if you got kids then you know; if you ever been in a position where you had to protect your kids then you know
Growing up in the struggle (poverty-stricken ,hood), we have to pay for our choices. The depression comes from knowing your maker is going to judge you for your decision-making. All you can do is move until movement stops. This interview brung tears to my eyes!
My little cousin passed away and on his funeral card it says “All My Life I Been A Goon” because of the song you made!! We played that song 100 times back to back!!! You made it already Albee but you got a lot more levels to make it too!! Blessings on blessing to you
No disrespect but the young brother A be talking from experience... Mecca and everybody else on the show don't have no experience that he have.. Therefore, this is why he's talking with different perspective... Basically Mecca he's telling you in so many words you know karate but you have to prove that you know karate he don't care about your karate he got something else under his sleeve wanted for you.
He’s very knowledgeable with what he knows. In my opinion, he needs to stay away from subjects about the streets. He doesn’t seem to understand the love you have for someone you were in the trenches with.
I think one of the more subtle yet profound aspects to this episode is watching Champ, observe Albee, and possibly think this is where he was heading if he didn’t go to therapy, or get his education. His slight smirk at times to me perhaps is him thinking where he was and where he doesn’t want to be. He broke down a little bit on the Chayna Ashley episode talking about being in lockdown as a teen, and that was very in depth and raw emotion.. I also thought about Mecca’s quote about “A young man’s rage vs an old man’s patience”.. Albee sounds like he’s ready for the inevitable and ready to crash out (like the conversation regarding Jeezy) but he admitted his maturity isn’t there. So Champ to me, even with his own struggles, was the piece in the episode that resonated highly, and represented growth beyond recidivism…
Champ is seeing the importance of reaching an old age and he probably aside from himself, has had plenty of crash out dummies during his time of incarceration, and this probably was a flashback episode for him.
The transition is never a bad ending. It’s the start of a new beginning. Be careful what you cherish during this journey. Be cautious of the things you worship. This thing we call death is a part of life. A promise that will never be broken. Every experience in between is growth. Moments are ingredients
35:02 man I be feeling the same way. Like when you go through so much and makes you a certain person you accept the fact that it may cause you to live a short life. On the other hand Albee music really soul food. Bro a legend. I hope he live forever❤️🫡
If y’all don’t know let me tell as a person from Jersey Albee Al is really like that. I was down state with the dude he is truly a gladiator and he only like 5’5 but he was catching wreck with niggas in there. Not saying it to glorify the street shit but in a world where many rappers don’t live or never lived what they rap about, he ain’t part of that.
We need more conversations like this one for our brothers and sisters . I feel for bro , he got a lot on his chest. Hope He finds his way for real , he got a lot of internalized pain he aint speaking
One of the best interviews I’ve seen on here nun but straight facts and jewels to take away from if you really from these hoods/ghettos/streets you understand the dialogue goin on. Especially the rhetoric between Al and Meta was beautiful 2 different mindset that respectfully agree to disagree and still made great points for the youth as well as some adults this interview was raw and real and will have a impact on the community weather we know or not. Nothing but respect to the whole and Al 💯🫡
It's good to see AL bee finally getting what he deserves. I'm from Newark NJ and was in prison with bro and he definitely puts on for Jersey. So good to see his success long overdue. If your from the struggle you will definitely connect to his music. Good show I wish everyone continued blessings and success. Newark 973 Jersey!!!!!
Yall don’t understand where Albee comin from kuz yall never been in the streets or been in street situations even with success there’s no endgame in this shit so you gotta stay on point at all times especially now I salute to him 💯
i really like how when Albee started sayin certain things, others peeped and really tried to help him talkin about therapy n the importance of it etc.. they didnt just bypass it like they aint hear it.. Realest Moment EVER. MORE OF THIS 💪🏽💪🏽
I totally feel AlBee about he's raising daughters. I am my father's only daughter and I am the humbly confident, fearless woman I am because of who my father was as a man..My brother's and I grew up with no fear cause we absolutely knew our father would unalived about us...We were taught to not start sh*t, but damn sure finish it if a mfk come disrespectful....My father never allowed no man to disrespect him at no time no matter where he is...My father is a Compton raised hardworking family man, but don't push him and is known as just that...My son's grew up the same way cause they knew pawpaw and mom's would take a life no matter the consequences when it came to them......BTW... I'm back fellas, I took some time off social media to focus on goals, and new grandbabies....I loved this episode✊🖤💯
🙏🏾🤲🏾 1:45:20 Math drops a gem! All you have to do is flip the switch. It takes a lot of strength and focus. But once you flip that change switch, you’re out of your own way and on your way. MOE is the truth. Bring Al B back again. Every convo is dope.
Sad when he said I don't want to be 80 yrs damn smh man ...hope God clears his mind and removes all negative and evil spirts from him in Jesus name amen.
Rappers can remember some bars .. I had a friend who passed away tht used to rap and he remembered all of our first raps up until he passed .. Every bar . It was like 5 of us and we wrote the raps at 12-13 years old and now we’re all in our early 40’s and my guy would jokingly rap all our shit to us . He did tht with every rap he heard and I see Math do tht same shit all the time
You can tell Albe is in pain on Neal hands out brother believe and have faith your gift is gifting all flowers while your here. It’s deep Trauma is definitely his shield I feel for my people
Tell him to stay out of jersey!!! Stay focused and never look back. If he stays in jersey his day will come! Unfortunately Al did a whole lot of serious stuff in his prime days. Those families ain’t over it
Sad but true, as a black man you’re always on the plate!!! Never get comfortable that’s when shit happens. I stay on point, it’s a 50/50 chance every time you step out the house and go into the streets.
Albee one of the realest. He done came out to my city to a funeral because my boy was a big fan of his. He never met him before but he was such a huge fan and Albee such a real nigga he took the trip to come here just to show love and support to his family.
