When I listen to this track, it always reminds me my wife and how much I love her. She's my life. She gave me a life full of happiness and a beautiful family.
The thing with good times is that you 'find' them in a weird way. You only find em when you try and MAKE em. And you don't even realize it but there you are you just found the good times. But they don't come from inaction and rumination.
A slightly different vibe (still as chilled), but try listening to a band called khruangbin ❤️🙏 Friday morning (live at pitchfork) maybe the most beautiful song I ever did hear! Also, klangkarrusell time - gioli and Asia piano makes me feel the same way kind of way as two thousand and seventeen 🙌
I just spent the last 72 hours scouring the tube because I heard it on the radio late in the evening. I was so upset thinking that I wasn’t able to find it again in this lifetime.
I sometimes wonder about what songs I want played at my funeral... this one has made the list. I keep relistening periodically and over the years it has never lost it's shine, in fact if anything it keeps gets better! Perfect combination of melancholy and hopefulness. A top 5 track by Four Tet, imo.
It’s very sad to me. I listened to it quite a bit after losing someone close to me. Hearing this will always cut and be associated to life passing.. it’s beautiful in a painful way.
The sample is from a song called ‘Mangal Moorty Maruti Nandan’ by Hari Om Sharan, much different song to this one but has some good santoor parts including the one sampled by this track. Link to the original song on TH-cam: th-cam.com/video/kVSOc7YVJ_M/w-d-xo.html And I am just a dumb Brit so I don’t know anything more than that, all the info is in Hindi 😅
I just heard this song in a shop. It's got such a "múm - Finally We Are No One" vibe to it, which Tycho mixed in. Now I'm listening to Four Tet's music with glee. So happy to have found such a talented artist!
Wtf, how can people dislike this mix??? This is a viral material.. Zither is originally from one of the Indian prayer song.. But amazing mix.. Love from India ❤️❤️🇮🇳
Takes one to know one, don't be such a know all man, good music sounds the same, drugs make the listener feel other things when surrounded by Negativity, n why waste breath arguing with dumb.,,, fumin.
Nice track, loved it.!! It reminded me of a Sitar tone I listened to in my childhood. Just found out it is sampled from an old Indian worship song called Jay Jay Bajrang Bali by Hari Om Shanker.!
I woke up this morning and watched a story somewhere in ig and shazamed the track I've got my result and I was shocked cause the day before I was listening to burial and wanted to listen to four tet but that walk finished and i said to myself some another day... and I m still a proper emotional wreck but the thing happened with my thoughts and four tet just amazes me still... the divine synchronicity... now I want to listen to bjork too hahahahha maybe tomorrow when I woke up I'll find the song from her somewhere
Me hace sentir en un plano elevado, siento que mi mente se desprende de mi cuerpo cada que escucho esto con audífonos, volumen alto, luces apagadas y ojos cerrados
For anyone wondering, the instrument you hear is supposedly called DULCIMER. I've tried to find similar modern beat-dulcimer compositions. No luck so far. If you know any, please let me know. Spotify only serves "old" and folk songs, or covers. Only band it reminds me of is Dead Can Dance. Highly recommended, for example Rakim.
I don't think that there is anything quite like this, however, it reminds me of that Cercle set by Be Svendsen and the song 'Indra' by thievery corporation. To be fair, two thousand and seventeen gives me a similar vibe to thievery corp bcos it's almost trip hop ☺️
This is one of the greatest tracks of all time It's genuinely unfair people spend decades on an instrument and will never be able to perform something as effective as this

don't you blockheads have Shazam or something like that to search for music.
This song blew my mind when I first heard it three years ago.. so good. It just fills you with joy
This song made me cry. Thinking about the good times in life. Where has the time gone? :(
I used this when I was exploring central London by myself. Oh the good time
Me too, me too. It's a misterious song indeed...
The tragedy is that you'll regret having wasted time being nostalgic for the past instead of enjoying being alive now

Music like this makes me want to keep on living
Check his album Rounds if you love this, it sounds pretty much like this but the sounds are more organic, i recommend the song 'unspoken'
Then listen to it every single day my friend

As much sadness as there is in that comment as there is depth and deeper understanding. I see you friend🙂
What other tracks are in your top 5?
I think this is the most beautiful track I ve ever heard in my whole entire life
This is because you haven't found Avril 14th from Aphex Twin... ♥️♥️♥️

I have the same opinion! It's simply beautiful...
Then listen to preconceived notions - lotus lane ♥️
Right on brother 🤠
Ofcourse, the instrument played here is a sitar which is an indian musical instrument which is one of the oldest instruments in the world
I looked for this track for 2 years and couldnt remember what it was. Finally, it showed up on Pandora and i was so happy.
No words for how this can make you feel .
i almost though there is a 'big climb' sample in this track, but it makes no sense since this came out before the EE song.
so good!
Composing the official music for Taj Hotels globally - this is my inspiration piece, that one sample in it.
Thanks K. You're amazing :)

Such a simple yet unforgettable sound. 👌😌🤚

The santoor part from the bhajan of hari om saran is the best part of this composition.

I find this piece of music particularly pretentious. I can’t find a better way of expressing my feelings other than “wanky coffee shop vibes”
One needs to have a ear for music to appreciate the hidden beauty in it. This is a masterpiece.
For the ones who don’t like it, ‘To Each Their Own’.
Spotify lists their two aliases as separate artists. So to find out their the same person, making all of my favourite music is pure bliss.

No but enjoy this one yikes
the one track that completely blew my mind when I first heard it like 10 years ago is "Chrome Sparks - Marijuana"
