I never thought that he would be such a great actor, I only knew him from Karate Kid 1 and his acting abilities seemed to be limited, but now in Cobra Kai he really does a fantastic job

Eric feels personally attacked by the writers of Cobra Kai, I love it hahaha. Yes, so far you are the only reactors who so excited about Terry Silver. Other reactors are not so much because they never seen the movie sequels and/or they don’t have attachment with the movie franchise. I personally was yelling when I saw Terry cause I liked the third movie. It’s not a good movie but I watch it for the characters continuation.

Good point about Amanda finally understanding how dangerous Kreese is. Everyone, including viewers, gave Daniel a hard time in s2 for being so against Cobra Kai, but Daniel had every reason to be -- was acting out of worry and concern that Kreese was back in Cobra Kai. When Daniel opened his dojo, he told Robby he didn't want to destroy Cobra Kai, he wanted to show students a better karate. Later, Kreese trespasses into Daniel's dojo, threatens him, and implies Daniel's students are going to get hurt, saying they're at war. So Daniel starts focusing more on preparing his students, and he starts neglecting his wife and business because of it. To Amanda and others, it looks bad, but viewers at the very least should have understood where Daniel's worry was coming from. If they watched The Karate Kid 3 that is. Now flash-forward to this season: Kreese is a full-blown menace and kids are getting hurt, it's everything Daniel feared and everything he tried to prevent. It's great that now Amanda and even Johnny are on his side and see things his way, mainly this: Kreese must be stopped and children have to be shown a better way. But viewers should have understood Daniel all along...

Miyagi dos did what they did to send the Cobra kais the message that they would (edit: would not) take Cobra Kai's bullying lying down. At that point, Cobra Kai had already: jumped and beat up Nate and stole the money Miyagi do raised for Miguel's surgery; destroyed Demetri's important school project which probably hurt his grade; intimidated Sam several times (Hawk); harassed Chris at his job and stole from him which, depending on management, could have led to him getting fired. Was the Miyagi do's best or right course of action to retaliate with violence? No. But don't make it out to be an isolated incident that exists in a vacuum. Further, Demetri's arm was not broken in self-defense. Demetri was already subdued, Sam was subdued, all the Miyagi dos were subdued. At that point the Cobra Kais could have walked away, they had already won. But they ganged up on Demetri and broke his arm when they had him face down and defenseless, just to be cruel.

If Miguel broke Robby’s arm would he be cruel? All the fighting stopped when Miguel pinned Robby down but he showed mercy and nearly died. Hawk put Demitri in the same position, all the fighting stopped but in his head what would happen to him if he showed mercy? And I don’t think Kreese ordered the Cobra Kais to steal teddy bears from golf and stuff, that was Hawk and the Cobra Kai doing it themselves

I think I have the PERFECT way for them to bring Julie from The Next Karate Kid into Cobra Kai... Her and Daniel already know each other because of Mr. Miyagi and their relationships. Maybe she comes back to visit his grave and they meet at the graveyard and they reminisce about Miyagi and she possibly helps with the dojo somehow.
Also I really like Karate Kid 3. However, it's tone and Daniel's maturity (or lack of) makes part 3 work better as part 2 and part 2 works better as part 3.
I recommended this show to a friend. Told him if the first episode didn't grab him, it probably wasn't for him. He said he didn't get it. Didn't get the humor or the point of watching washed-out Johnny staggering through life. Meanwhile, watching that first episode with my dad, every single instant Johnny was on scene, my dad couldn't stop laughing. So there's different interests for different people, that's always going to happen but I get what Eric means when the show throws a bunch of different themes out there that shouldn't work and yet somehow do.
I mean the first episode will hit right to people who have seen the movies, but it's actually keeping through the next episodes that will bring on new people.

But that doesn't take away the good writing of the show and of course people will get hooked no matter what. Hawk is 17 in season four so he’s 16-17 in season 3. Those kids have likely been bullying him since his early years at maybe age 6 or so. That’s a decade of rage let out in a short period, totally deserved.
The way the music cuts out for a second and all you can hear is Hawk hitting the guy is so disturbing. You’re instantly like, “Oh, he’s hitting him way too much!”

I did some Judo as a teen. As soon as you have someone with no Judo experience on the ground and in a hold, he has no chance. Even Karate guys couldn't do anything. They are good fighters at a distance but the holds kill. I guess it's the same with wrestling. Their holds are also very powerful. So Kyler is stil in the game... - Also I looooove your Silver appreciation. They got me also. I thought ponytail is definitely Silver and he WASN'T. They did it again! Only a few episode later. 😃
before i started watching cobra kai, i watched the all of the karate kid movies (bought them at Walmart for like 10 bucks) so i can get more of the lore and honestly the show is so much better when you actually get the subtle references

It’s amazing how many people and reactors missed them actually saying the name silver in the episode. That’s why I watch with subtitles.

i love this show so much, cant wait for you guys to see the finale!
Also I really like Karate Kid 3. However, it's tone and Daniel's maturity (or lack of) makes part 3 work better as part 2 and part 2 works better as part 3.
I recommended this show to a friend. Told him if the first episode didn't grab him, it probably wasn't for him. He said he didn't get it. Didn't get the humor or the point of watching washed-out Johnny staggering through life. Meanwhile, watching that first episode with my dad, every single instant Johnny was on scene, my dad couldn't stop laughing. So there's different interests for different people, that's always going to happen but I get what Eric means when the show throws a bunch of different themes out there that shouldn't work and yet somehow do.
I mean the first episode will hit right to people who have seen the movies, but it's actually keeping through the next episodes that will bring on new people.

@@bryzantine1571 Yes I didn't say the opposite. My point was that people who've seen the movies will immediately see the references and understand where the characters are coming from. But that doesn't take away the good writing of the show and of course people will get hooked no matter what. I was just responding to the comment above which basically said "if you didn't like the first one, then don't bother" which seemed off to me.
For years I thought their back drop was right behind them, when Eric got up the contrast of how large the room is was hilarious.

Hawk is 17 in season four so he’s 16-17 in season 3. Those kids have likely been bullying him since his early years at maybe age 6 or so. That’s a decade of rage let out in a short period, totally deserved.
The way the music cuts out for a second and all you can hear is Hawk hitting the guy is so disturbing. You’re instantly like, “Oh, he’s hitting him way too much!”

I did some Judo as a teen. As soon as you have someone with no Judo experience on the ground and in a hold, he has no chance. Even Karate guys couldn't do anything. They are good fighters at a distance but the holds kill. I guess it's the same with wrestling. Their holds are also very powerful. So Kyler is stil in the game... - Also I looooove your Silver appreciation. They got me also. I thought ponytail is definitely Silver and he WASN'T. They did it again! Only a few episode later. 😃

before i started watching cobra kai, i watched the all of the karate kid movies (bought them at Walmart for like 10 bucks) so i can get more of the lore and honestly the show is so much better when you actually get the subtle references
