    Allthough I much appreciate the expertise and knowledge, the video was a right pain to watch, due to the upbeat noise between conversations/explanations.
    There was also a significant difference in volume.

      I fully agree with @1valg, that "music" (for want of a better word) between different targets detracted from the brilliant presentation so much, it got to be vey annoying, otherwise there was so much good information in this video.

    Ed, great post I'm following you to this technical discussion that was cut from TGS. These look like a good investment. But. Only high and low-light versions exist for colour-blind orange / pink / red clays / . In your experience, do colour-blind shooters need other glasses as well? I note that there is a range of colours available for conventional shooters. Or would you have your colour-blind clients only use these? Also, here is a test for your production team, I cannot see the clay at 16:30 at all! It would be really great if you were able to filter this so that colour-blind viewers were able to see with and without glasses comparison. Bit of a challenge for your there, but what the hell. Summary? Great video that has made me think about getting these as an investment. My shooting scores will thank you if I do, my bank balance may be a little more tardy in its appreciation

    Podrías decirme si la lente 98AR se utiliza para tiro nocturno? Muchas gracias, saludos

    I really struggle to justify $700 for a set of plastic shooting glasses. More power to ya if you don't feel this way though!

      Totally understand! Although these can be a game changer for those whose eyes can’t detect orange targets, so for them it’s cheaper than missing 🤩

    I realised a little while ago that I was red green colour blind and after watching this video I decided to take a chance that these pilla RGHL & RGLL would work, WOW what a difference, on one of my local Sunday shoots on stand 8 I would be lucky if I hit 2 or 3 because I just couldn't see them but this Sunday I could see clearly and got 10/10.
    Thank you Ed Lyons for a great video and helping me out.

    I'm sure Pilla are outstanding shooting glasses but are there any particular makes that are "almost" as good but are in the price range of the recreational shooter, not the elite few or sponsored shooters?
    I'd be looking at around say £100ish for a 3 lens kit.

    • @edlyonssportsvision9197
      @edlyonssportsvision9197  ปีที่แล้ว

      £100 for three lenses will be very much in the budget end, there are some decent products below this, Top Gun, Evolution, Jack Pyke etc. if the budget stretches to £150/£200 then there some good stuff! I’ll be reviewing the x-sight series on Tuesday so stay tuned for that! 😎😊💥

    One issue that seems bit overlooked is that we aren’t always shooting orange targets. Sometimes we are looking for black bottoms or black rims. I’m color impaired and found that “normal” tints darken the shadows and make it extremely difficult to pick up targets. For years, I used clear lenses with an AR coating. I found that if I could see a target well with tinted lenses, there was enough light to shoot it with clears. As I got older (71 now) I began having more issues with glare. Eventually, out of desperation, I tried the Riact lenses. I found the low light opened up shadows in the back ground and made it much easier to pick up targets. I also got the middle lens and found that useful on occasion. I can’t say that the target is highlighted, but the contrast is increased and it’s just easier to pick out targets. I’ve only got one functional eye, so there’s no binocular vision to help. The Riacts are not a miracle, but they seem to work better than any of the myriad of tints I’ve tried. The Pilla’s give every impression of being too dark to be useful for me. I don’t do well with less than 50% light transmission. The Pilla’s look to be at least that dark with the lighter lens. Love to try them some day, but I’ll admit to being skeptical going in.

      @edlyonssportsvision9197  ปีที่แล้ว

      You’re right, they are both deeply tinted lenses, and for me, with normal colour vision, aren’t as effective as the RIACT products. Richer tints will always have more “pop” so it would be fascinating to test them out - I would expect (if you follow protan or deutan norms) that you’d find them helpful on orange, but as you say, black targets are a different matter!
