Along with her spiritual sanctity and love among thousands of followers, she has a global humanitarian mission to alleviate suffering, poverty, and hunger for the world's underprivileged children. Through interviews with disciples and Amma herself, the film shows the true nature of a contemporary, living sage.

I found Amma on her first tour to America in San Diego Cal and it was fantastic to sit next to her and talk to her and get her blessing there was only a very few people there at that time and after 25 years she still remembers me . AMMA THANK YOU 🦋🌺🍀💜💙🦜🍀🦋🦋😀🌺🦋🦋🦋
I am so grateful I got to be with Amma yesterday and the day before in Philadelphia. It was wonderful beyond words. One of Amma's teachings is that at least by the time we turn 50 we can begin to outgrow our exclusive focus on worldly desires and worries and focus more on God.

Alk 29 states and 7 union territories of India have their own Amma's , Appa's , Baba's and Babu's .I am coming across Karunamayi Amma for the first time. All claim that they are incarnations or Avtar's of God. The contradiction is that none of them approve of each other. Advaita philosophy propounded by the great Indian sage Adi Shankaracharya says: Aham Brahmasmi , which says that Creator and Creation are One...I am God. God is within Me. Here we divide ourselves with Cast, creed, language, colour, race and 101 categories. If we understand in the True sense of Advaita, the world will be such a peaceful place to live. Here these human Gods ( or their devotees) themselves are against each other. People who have lost peace and mind run after them to find peace. Hope they find it somehow and be content with their lives. Peace be with them.

I Have seen in so many videos this "Divine Mother Incarnate" wearing Kancheepuram silk saris. Dozens of them. I thought of the saintly Swami Mahaperiyava of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, Sri Chandrashekharendra Saraswati, who asked women who visited him to not wear any silk clothing because, he said, "Pure silk is pure himsa". Ten thousand silk worms are put in boiling water, and are killed, to make one such sari. It is possible that Amma has compassion for people, but I wonder whether she has compassion for these poor silk worms who suffer so much when boiled.

An interesting point. But if it is to be considered, one must expand the point. It is not possible to live in this world of duality without destroying. Even if you breathe, you are
inhaling some forms of life. If you set foot upon the earth you are crushing something. However let us consider....if you love everything and are a part of everything, then even destruction can be an act of love, done in the right consciousness. Every saint, taking on a physical body, must participate in the nature of creation which is in a constant state of birth and destruction. So rather then to focus on only the silk worms , it seems we need to attain a higher grasp of the purpose of this created world itself. Remember that Krishna even killed people. All Avatars play a role, as we do as well. I only humbly offer these general thoughts that come in response to your statement.
There are spiritual and esoteric reasons for wearing silk. Such as to protect the energy field and body, it’s clear she covers herself completely to shield herself. maybe there are non violent ways of procuring silk for sarees and other clothing?? All the Brahmans in india wear silk as it is a sign of purity and devotion as well as protection for the subtle bodies.

In a TH-cam video titled Ahimsa paramo dharmaha: Carnatic music and himsa silk, th-cam.com/video/hQlwWCjrbmQ/w-d-xo.html I have spoken in detail and explained why many people wear silk saris. There is a silk called ahimsa silk, but the fibers lack the luster of himsa silk fibers, and they are coarser and thicker also. So women do not buy ahimsa silk saris.
