That and the originals in the animation use the 90s-era models. In 1983, they would've looked how they did before being torn apart in fnaf 2, so the aftons would've recognized them but should've said they looked different since the withereds in fnaf 2 are taller, chunkier, and blockier than the 90s redesign of them.
I can tell you havent watched any fnaf timeline video cuz of him calling fredbear "golden Freddy" which is not what he was called and the toys were not invented until after the first pizzaria closed (Both Elizabeth and Chris/Evan afton died)
