Barbara. I lost my wife to complications of breast cancer on 1 NOV 2002! Still miss her to this day. I never remarried. Didn’t care to get involved again. Now at 67 yrs old, too old to worry about it. There are certain songs that still bring a smile to my face and then the tears come! Can’t Help Falling In Love by Elvis was our favorite! I hope you are doing well!
Dang! 79 years old here and he hasn't missed a beat. His voice is still just as clear and crisp as it was 50 years ago and he still has that signature vibrato. Amazing.
I agree with you with one exception. Rug on his head is a bit much. I remember when this was a hit, he had a great head of hair, but that was in the 60s.
My mom played this one all the time when I was a little kid in the 70's so I've loved it all of my life. Mom just turned 84 and I am so blessed to still have her and the memories of her dancing to this song while doing chores or cooking.

Wow 😮, he sounds exactly the same. I had to listen to this song over and over and over as a little girl. My teenage sister was so in love with Bobby Goldsboro. She wanted to be his wife. She would listen to this song and cry because she thought he was really sad about honey. My sister passed away in 1998.
He's hardly aged, how fortunate as every time I look in the mirror I see my mother! A dried-up wrinkled prune, lol I've always loved this song except it is sad. Funny as I was listening to House of Worship 302 with Marty Goetz tonight and his wife wanted to pray for people and she specifically prayed for the widowed spouses that had lost their better half, that God would comfort them as only He can.
