I don't like it. It's looks out of place. Too dark for a small space. Should have used a prestain. It's a little blotchy. Should have used the same color as the door.
@@rampooni8122 Indeed. I actually got a multi-tool kit that had everything they showed excluding the sander and the nail gun for less than 200 (250 if you add router bit set). Yeah, its not going to be contractor grade, but it would be enough to do the job. The trade-off the higher end tools provide is less time elbow grease needed. When you're a contractor, its worth spending the extra money on that tool once for the time savings all year. For a home DIY'er, its not. but that doesn't make doing the project impossible, or even that much more difficult.
Nah, it would never have fit as tightly as it did by doing it the way they did it. Did you notice the tool for adjusting to walls that are not exactly parallel?
Nicely designed and executed for that space. Well done!
Two tubes of construction adhesive for a small bench... that's now the strongest part of the home.
They used way to much cack for shore.
Cool project and jig.
Great build !
nice project
so cool to see popular instagramers get on this old house zack dettmore has good content also
That jig reminded of a brake gauge you use to check for true on a brake drum .
Nice!
Did they put any sort of finish on top of the stain?
Didn’t look like it, but I would’ve done 5-7 coats of poly on the top of the bench and 3 on the verticals.
Seat jig👍. Wonder how they fit the beadboard back.
Interesting that the router had a dust extractor, but a lot of material was sucked up.
Maybe the dust extractor was powered off for the camera?
3:39 That's there's still sawdust on the wood while they're applying stain bugs me. 😬
Tommy rules!
I’m surprised Tommy is doing this, doesn’t look like it’s up to his usual standards,

$76k in tools 😂
Not at all, at most $1k if bought brand new. The sander was probably the only tool that isn’t practical for a DIYer
No festool on the job site,

No it's not. The price does not matter.
Should have built everything as one whole unit and then installed, rather than all the individual pieces like they did. Also no poly over the stain?
