    I lived in Spearfish and a few of us would push the brush aside to get to the pool. No trail no parking. Loved your underwater films. We used to keep beer cold in the pool. During the winter our boy scout troup would camp in natural caves above the slide and pool.

    Is the water that cold, do we need wet suits. I'm going in late June

    • @lraehhannah
      @lraehhannah  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I prefer a wetsuit because the water is quite cold so it allows you to stay in the water and explore longer. It's a shaded area, so the sun never really hits the water to warm it up much. But there were plenty of people jumping in without one. It's all just about preference really

      Well Im taking a 9 year old 14 year old and me the adult who doesn't complain. Im guessing a 9 year old would be cold. I wonder if I could buy a cheap wet suit.

    How hard was the hike would you say?

    • @lraehhannah

      I personally find it an easy hike. It's a relatively steady incline throughout. My mother, who does not hike, was able to do this hike just fine. It is definitely a kid friendly hike.

      What are some things I may need on this hike?

    I wasn't aware people got into the water there. Didn't see anyone in the water last time I went. I'll be going back this summer.

      You shouldn't be swimming or diving in the water there unless you're professionally trained and I'm assuming have permission by the National park service to do so. The currents and rocks can be quite dangerous.

      @@triciamckenney1714lol what? You can definitely swim in most swimming holes at your own risk. Who told you that you needed professional experience? This also isn’t a national park, nor do you need permission to swim in national parks (unless there are signs expressively forbidding it).
