Ngl, looking at your shrimp makes me so happy. Happy enough to sketch them while they do their shrimp things :p Im glad the recent engagement pushed your channel into my recommended :)
@@JohnSmith-xm3bp Yeah it’s easy to get the two mixed up! Yes my shrimp normally are active after a water change swimming around a little bit but they settle down with a few hours
One of my shrimp I noticed this morning only molted the top half of shell. Freaking out inside, checked water parameters everything seems fine. I have females with eggs, and everyone else I've seen looks healthy. Is she going to die for sure, have you ever seen this?
I’m not sure if she’ll die or not.. I hope not. Yes I’ve seen it discussed in groups and I’ve had it happen just a few times long ago-in the past. I’d keep an eye on the shrimp if it starts to happen to more than one then there’s an issue that should be addressed
Thank you, I did a little cleaning to the tank this morning before I seen, and was thinking I scared her when she was trying to molt with out meaning to. Only a little water like 3% before I seen. I haven't added water back Yet. I don't want to change water parameters at all. Some say to add ro water, but I don't wanna add completely soft water to hard water.
@@Mae.86 Do you normally use tapwater for your tanks? You should be fine to do your water changes with tapwater .. I’ve been doing it that way for a very long time.
Although it’s been said that they are blind or visually impaired it’s not 100% confirmed ... I cannot find an article or source that has actually confirmed it beyond speculation

How I set up shrimping live a long time in my house
Any updates? ❤
what are the leaves like?
So cool
How do you set up shrimp tanks can you help me
Wow so awesome
Ty 😊
How well do you think they'll breed over the winter?
Usually in winter they don’t breed as much for me as they do spring summer and fall, but I am hoping they will do well :)
I hope so too! They're pretty cool shrimp. And I actually like the variation between orange and red shrimp. More like a fire than a uniform ruby red.
Awesome!!! What’s the GH KH of these little guys??
Ph 6 gh 5 kh 0 tds 130
@@ShrimpLife I thought Caridina needed higher pH?
@@JohnSmith-xm3bp its neocaridina that require higher ph
@@ShrimpLife ok I remembered it backwards. Does your shrimp move a lot after a water change?

Hmm.. A question please, how much averagely their price in your country? For price comparison purpose 🙂. Have a nice weekend
Got them on sale for $12 USD ea... They are not super high-quality as some other ones though
@@ShrimpLife i see, but as you and us know, with selective breed and patient, the high grade just one step on near future 🙂
@@Cleeon great point!!
