- IN THIS VIDEO WE CATCH GREEN CIRCLE FARM OUT MOLD BOARD PLOWING A FIELD OF WINTER GRAZEING. THIS FIELD WILL BE GOING INTO PEANUTS FOR THE 2021 GROWING SEASON. THEY ARE USING TWO OF THEIR JOHN DEERE 8370R TRACTORS WITH JOHN DEERE 995 8 BOTTOM REVERSIBLE MOLDBOARD PLOWS. ONE IS RUNNING ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE PIVOT AND ONE IS RUNNING ON THE WEST SIDE. THE ONE ON THE EAST SIDE HAS THE MORE DIFFICULT PLOWING BY FAR.

They have real nice equipment done there
Some of the farms do. We still have some smaller farms that run the older stuff still. They are hard to film though.

I’ve always heard a switch bottom was harder to pull than a flip. And this one sure looked like it was having its way with that 8370R!

Are they many cattle farms in your area or mostly row crop
Quite a few cattle farms but not as much as there used to be.
Do they have fluid in the outside duels
I don't know.
On-land switch plow. Not a moldboard. Roll on sweet chariot.
Well John Deere calls them reversible moldboard plows on their website so I'll go with what they say. It's not a switch plow. Switch-Plow is a brand name for the plows built by Harrell Equipment back in the 90's and are still being built today here in Bainbridge, Georgia. They invented the on-land side shifting reversible plows.
It actually is a moldboard plow.
