I actually did this to my Megazord, I really hope we get more Megazords in this style, cheap on my wallet and easy to find Fingers crossed for Dragonzord and Titanus
I wish these videos were more popular on your channel because this is my favorite content you produce, right after all the cool animations/effects videos. That Super Megaforce video is what inspired me to paint my MiniPLAs. Thank you once again for helping/encouraging us non effects people make our stuff look great.
I'm really hoping a few people will actually watch this one. We have so much more to offer but an audience that mostly just wants very basic things that you'll find on any other channel. Don't get me goin'! It's a pretty major source of frustration. But, we do have Patreon. We can do things that aren't as popular over there since we don't have to worry about views. I've made some videos that were requested by just one person. If only a few people watch it, it doesn't matter so much. Over here we do have to worry about what people are clicking.
Thank you for making this Bruno! I recently got into minipla and gunpla building and wanted to get into painting them, but didn't know where to start and everyone in those communities recommend really expensive airbrushes and hobby paints, but it's nice to see something look so good with regular spray paint. Thank you for the tips!
Oh I've been dying for a new airbrush (and compressor). But, spray paint still works great for many things. There are certain things that yeah, you do need an airbrush for, but, spray paint also works beautifully for a lot of things. I've used spray paint on some of my mini-pla things (and full size Zords too, of course). ...and now 3D prints as well.
I'm still holding out hope that Hasbro will release a dragonzord to go with this set. Quite frankly it's shocking that they haven't already considering how popular vote the Green ranger in the dragonzord we're back in the day.
Excellent paint job Bruno! The decals also make a huge difference! thank you for the video! I was on Amazon and asked about the Hasbro Mega Zord in the question section. I asked," How does this compare in height to the lightning collection king sphinx?" Then someone said, "Answer: This thing is junk PERIOD" That really stopped me from getting it.
Been waiting for this. You mentioned it a few weeks ago, so thanks for doing this video. The Hasbro Megazord looks awful without customizing it. I also just bought a second one, thanks Bruno for the links as always. I will do one in Tank Mode, and One Combined.
I'm glad you enjoyed... not sure what was different. I'd call this a very, very standard video. Same music. Same overlays. Same pace. Always make sure not to have much dead space b/c that's exactly the point when people leave. Gotta keep it moving or your audience is literally gone in seconds. You'd love our vlog channel though.
@@MMPRtoys Maybe it's in my head. Lately I got the impression that most of the info is crammed into the first seconds of the video (for audience retention purposes no doubt), but I didn't get that feeling here. Again, maybe I'm losing my mind. Thanks for all the quality content!
Those updates you did make it look great! Its also awesome that there are some decals out there for an upgraded look. Thanks for sharing! Hope all is well, Take care. AJ

I like your reviews Bruno, I know that you're giving honest thoughts about the product, I also enjoy seeing how you fix Hasbro's stuff like this. I'm not going to get one of those Megazords though, too much effort and I don't collect zords, only lightning collection figures. So far I do have 7 different versions of mmpr green that I've customized. 1. Standard MMPR Green. I fixed the visor lining and missing diamonds by using a fighting spirit Green and removing the Silver stripes from the helmet, then swapping the belt with the wave 7 Green. 2. No Shield MMPR Green. Same as above but left the shield off. 3. Depowered MMPR Green from MMPR season 1, episode 60. Same as 1 but I also swapped the arms from a zeo green so he doesn't have the gold arm bands either. 4. Blade Blaster only MMPR Green from Return of an old friend episode. Same as 1 but left the fighting spirit Green belt on so the holster was white and on the right hand side, then trimmed the bottom off and placed a blade blaster in it. 5. Fighting Spirit MMPR Green. No changes. 6. No Shield Fighting Spirit Green from deleted scenes of Super Megaforce episode Legendary Battle. 7. Evil MMPR Green. Wave 7 MMPR Green with fixed visor lining, didn't fix the diamonds on him. On display with MMPR Villains.
I’m so glad I picked up the Hasbro zord now! Just used the link to get the stickers. Thanks for the promo code Bruno. Such an improvement, I wish we could have had this stuff when we were kids. I’m going to redo my Lightning Collection display to feature this guy with the improved stickers.
Milliput epoxy putty is an excellent way to fill hollow parts. It dries in a few hours, and is easily carvable before it is fully dry. It can be carved, sanded, and painted with ease.
Thanks to this video and Bruno's presentation, I've recently purchased this for myself and I got to say from childhood memory when I once had it before, I'm glad to have this once again in my life, it brought me a lot of joy and happiness back then and it has once again brought me the same feeling today, thank you Bruno 😌❤️
You did a really good job with upgrading it cause if I didn’t read the title of the video I would’ve 100% thought that it was a whole new figure at the beginning!
Great video Bruno, it’s cool to see how much a little paint and a few well placed decals can really help bring it to the next level. Also I loved seeing Big Pimpin’ Titanus lol!😂👍
I don't mind missing details because I understand the costs that a company faces and because for the most part the things I buy look "good enough". Besides, if I paint in a missing detail it makes the figure that much more special because I did the work. One of the best things in my lightning collection is the Saba that I painted for my Drakon figure.
Generally that's exactly what we promote on this channel. But in the case of Hasbro's Megazord, they either need to paint more or charge less. It's not missing a detail here and there, it's missing literally a ton of detail. It looks unfinished. The plastic is very cheap. You want to feel like you're getting what you pay for at least. If this was $19, then it's easy to defend the lack of paint/stickers/chrome/etc. I paid close to $50 at Target. The box set is less on Amazon. But even $40 is still a lot. But, yeah, painting it and getting decals makes it look a zillion times better, and then you've really made it your own.
One thing I'll say in favor of the Hasbro Megazord just as it is is that although it's not the best rendition of the Megazord we have ever gotten, it's still really impressive what They were able to do with a toy that: A: Had too resemble the Show that it was based on B: Be as posable as it is while keeping it under 50 dollars. C: They didn't even have access to the original Molds/Design in the first place other then the original suit. Like I said on the Morphicon video since they have access to the original TV Master of the Astro Megazord I actually can't wait to see how they do with the In Space Line, and really other Seasons post MMPR. They won't be as good as the Bandai Originals in some cases. But they can't be worse then the American Overdrive Megazord if they do a new version of that Zord at there OG Megazord's size
Glad i picked up the Hasbro Dino Megazord for retail, because once I added the BD15 decals it looked 100x better than what it was. I wish I knew how to paint, though 😅
Loved the toss over the shoulder lol. Great Custom work. This Megazord is $63 Canadian + $30 USD for decals + paints. I'll save those funds for the Dino Fury zords whenever they finally come out. I have my original 93, Legacy, and SOC Megazords so no need to get an inferior version just to custom. I am very happy that these resources are available to those who need it.
Still no Dino Fury Zords? I just have the new Morpher. I've been collecting Morphers since Super Megaforce and Beast Morphers, plus I have the Legacy Tommy Power Morpher and Legacy Zeonizers. I really was hoping for Legacy Turbo Keys and a Legacy Astromorpher but alas we never got them!
I bought these in anticipation of doing exactly the same thing... but with the SOC Megazord, I dunno. I do love a good project though, so I will be bookmarking this for later. Thanks for being awesome, Bruno!
Thanks for the vid Bruno! Always love seeing stuff from you guys, this convinced me to finally nab the BD15 Labels and pick up some paints for my Hasbro Dino Megazord, gonna make it a fun day-off project!
Always good to see a fan upgrade a toy with a little time and ingenuity. Only suggestion (if you didn’t) is wipe down the toy with alcohol before painting. The oil or release agent from the mold plus oils from your hands keeps the paint from sticking is spots. You might be there with the yellow one. But great video and keep up the good work.
I appreciate the new articulation and playability, but I'm probably content with my legacy. At this point I'm pretty set on ideal versions of MMPR stuff. I could definitely go for other season stuff with this execution. Good to know off the shelf spraypaints will work and I don't need to fuss with high pigment paints
I like how you have your custom decal Super Megaforce Ultra Zord with the decals in the background, that’s fun, remembering that megazord and those decals

I'm excited to get these. I was gonna spray paint them in some stone spray paint. Make them garden gnomes or a back drop for display (as individual Zords of course).
14 years later lots of people still aren't getting it, but the same thing repeats every year. I know sometimes it's just not doable, but man, that Thunder Megazord sat on shelves from 2015 - 2018 collecting dust, and now people are paying $500 on eBay. Lots of people just won't touch the thing until it's gone, and then they'll pay absurd prices.
@@MMPRtoys Thunder Megazord was still on Amazon for $199 into November 2020. I know because that is when I bought it. I got back into collecting last July. You had 5 years people! Now other than it goes with Legacy stuff why is Titanus so high? The SOC Titanus can be had for $150-200.
I really felt that when you said about summers in triple digits then freezing winter, in my mind I said sounded like Pennsylvania, to which you said Pennsylvania 😂. Our state has such extremes!
Hot was California. Late January through late November 101 - 118 was pretty standard. By November the whole state would be on fire too. Four hours from where we lived was Death Valley, the hottest place on planet earth. That heat can't be explained, you just have to experience it. Here in PA, every day is just the most gorgeous day ever. Nothing but beautiful. Happy Bruno & Mia. When we left California, it had been five years since we'd seen rain. So happy to not be there anymore.
@@TheOutlawCrow Thanks! Welcome back-ish. I'm originally from NJ. I went to summer came in the Poconos growing up, and I always thought PA was so nice. (Loved where I lived in NJ too, but NJ's expensive!) We knew we wanted to live somewhere with seasons and on a cross-country trip, I showed Mia PA. We started thinking about it more seriously, yada yada, here we are. So much better than where we used to live... to say the least.
@@MMPRtoys Oh most definitely, love how yours turned out. It's just a time issue for me overall. I'll probably get a nice stickering video out of it, though, at least!
Hello Bruno, it really makes a huge difference. I got my 90´s and Legacy Version guess i´am good on that Megazord. But you are right if someone wants something get it now ^^
I really want a Dragonzord; I hope Hasbro makes one this year, it would be nice if it came with additional decal set to make the existing Dino Megazord more complete. 🥲
The hardest part about this for me is that I’m 11 and I don’t have the money for these toys all the time especially not the big expensive ones so I need my parents to buy it for me and that’s hard and I try to earn money but sometimes that can be hard to but I’m trying to save up for power Morphicon 2024, but you’re definitely right but I always get upset because I was too young to buy the legacy or really care about what happened with my toys so I tried to make them look nice and usually they ended up in the trash😅 and I lost pieces to my Megazord and threw them away with my mom and I regret it, and I didn’t buy mega zords till rate now, and really want to catch up with stuff like Legacy but you guys have been a big inspiration to keep trying to make a Power Rangers toy collection and ninja turtles😅 so honestly I don’t know if you guys will see this, but thank you
I wanted to say thank you for this vid, I literally bought everything I needed last week Im waiting for the megazord from Amazon so I can finally start!!!
We've been promoting BD15 for nearly a decade, I knew. :) I finally got another Megazord from Amazon. Still more than I wanted to spend, but, I at least paid less than buying it again at Target. I hope everyone can look at this channel and kinda see me as someone who knows things? Especially things I've been doing for years...?
@@Paradise-NJPA I did. I remember these convos Jonathan. You've asked me before, and I keep saying, it's in the video we already did. I'm not upset or angry. Just stating we already did it, check out our video from September 2020. I don't want to make a video I already made.
Or, I can just answer it here, and the answer is Hasbro is not Bandai, no, nothing is compatible. But, if you watch the video, you can see what works and doesn't. SOC Dragonzord is the winner.
I live vicariously through you as always... Thanks for showing us the great job on the detail! You should have a megazord mask where the megazord chestplate becomes your teeth and smile. That would be so funny!
Most mass market collectibles have a weird cycle. They go for retail, then tend to go on clearance, then all of a sudden some just shoot up in price. It makes collecting a gamble sometimes. I have learned to pre-order stuff from Hasbro Pulse since it takes them forever to ship, and then see if I can nab a sale before Pulse ships. I've stopped paying full on retail for most things, but rarely get the absolutely lowest price. Still, every little bit helps.
The hollow parts also bug the hell out of me, I'd love to see what you think of my own painted megazord, but mine is the original. I totally also did the dragonzord, and you were completely my inspiration to do it all. Thanks so much for that, and I await your view with great anticipation
They always seem expensive at Target, but we found a place near us called Big Lots, I think, it it was a set of three brushes for a few bucks. I've been wanting something like that for a while, and they work well :)
Just when I have given up hope I come across this video. Waiting for all my items to arrive can't wait to start this project! Your video's are awesome dude😁
I'm very happy that I watch that video cause I got the Lightspeed Rescue megazord with no stickers and I remember your video and order them so Thanks Bruno 👍
I love watching this process! That said, I still feel like Hasbro should have put some more effort into the toy, however. Like one of your recent videos said, this thing is $50, so was PYRAMIDAS! There is a meme of paint tubes in a lightning collection box with MMPR Red, Dino Thunder White, SPD Omega, and Dino Charge Gold, and the name of it is "Fine, I'll do it myself", that can very well be applied to this too, especially the Mastadon head. At least it's not as bad as Bandai's unpainted bike figures, Yikes! But at the end of the day, I love your custom Megazords and all your custom stuff in general. It's a shame that this doesn't get as many views along with the Power Rangers BTS stuff. What Ranger fan wouldn't want to see that?
Final seconds of this video? Best part! Though I don’t like Hasbro’s Dino Megazord. They’ve proven that they can do way better with Transformers and the “deluxe” Beast-X Ultrazord. I don’t Megazords which needs a lot of modifications or other stickers, I’d rather buy a minipla-set instead.
Beast-X Ultrazord was $150 though, vs $40 for the Megazord. The Beast Morphers Zords also lacked paint and decals. I did appreciate the articulation they were able to add, but, still very cheap looking (and feeling) plastic, things not wanting to stay together properly, and just having a not-done appearance. I hope the Dino Fury Zords look/feel good in person. Seems like either their Zords prices should be lower, or the quality higher. Bandai was a smaller company and also had to pay Saban for the license. I figured Hasbro owning everything and being a bigger company would be able to make better Zords than Bandai was able to, but, look at the 2018 Blaze Megazord vs the 2020 Hasbro Megazord.
I just painted my Hasbro megazord using acrylic paints. No extra decals. Looks pretty good if I do say so myself. Not all the details are touched upon, but enough to stand up with other megazord toys.
Great video. I bought this a few months ago and got the BD15 stickers. The stickers are great. Used a silver sharpie on the sword. Added some black for the Triceratops tank treads and Sabretooth wheels. Now it's a better looking Megazord to have on display (I've never had any other Megazord). Do you need to tighten the screws on your Mastodon arms so he can hold his shield up? Mine holds his shield just fine.
Never underestimate the power of PAINT!!!
I actually did this to my Megazord, I really hope we get more Megazords in this style, cheap on my wallet and easy to find
Fingers crossed for Dragonzord and Titanus

@@MMPRtoys well looks like I'm 5 years late but welcome to PA!
@@MMPRtoys big enough state to have beautiful nature and big cities for the conventions!
0:07 you are loving that hat 😆
I figured the three of us could be #twinning!
@@MMPRtoys I sorry. I sent them both to you two. They were sold out before I could get another for #TeamJerry
BD15 doing really nice job.i bought labels for my 90s megazord and really looks awesome.btw i still believe 90s megazord is the best
I bought this back in September and the BD15 decals. Now I want to buy another and another set of decals and paint.
Wow it really looks so much better with the paint and stickers! Also i did the same thing with resin for some more hollow parts. Great video!
I'm probably not going to paint it, but just the decals seem worth it. Thanks for the heads up, Bruno!
It'll still look WAY better either way. But, the silver paint sure doesn't hurt!
But you are right if someone wants something get it now ^^
We definitely need more videos of Bruno throwing Megazords lol
Great video Bruno. Also, fun fact, that resin you used, if mixed with certain resin dyes, will react like lava. Might be useful for an effect.
I think I'd be too scared to mess with resin, but the paint and stickers alone are a night and day difference.
the hasbro megazord costs 65 USD here in philippines.
I paid $75 here in Australia
Yes! The best Titanus ever makes a comeback! Lol that was the best ending
Yes, return of "Big Pimping Titanus."
I really want a Dragonzord; I hope Hasbro makes one this year, it would be nice if it came with additional decal set to make the existing Dino Megazord more complete. 🥲
The hardest part about this for me is that I’m 11 and I don’t have the money for these toys all the time especially not the big expensive ones so I need my parents to buy it for me and that’s hard and I try to earn money but sometimes that can be hard to but I’m trying to save up for power Morphicon 2024, but you’re definitely right but I always get upset because I was too young to buy the legacy or really care about what happened with my toys so I tried to make them look nice and usually they ended up in the trash😅 and I lost pieces to my Megazord and threw them away with my mom and I regret it, and I didn’t buy mega zords till rate now, and really want to catch up with stuff like Legacy but you guys have been a big inspiration to keep trying to make a Power Rangers toy collection and ninja turtles😅 so honestly I don’t know if you guys will see this, but thank you
I struggled to buy all 3 sets, but decals on them for better design won't be difficult. Thanks, man.
Just got this on Amazon prime day for 30!! Can’t wait to paint and improve it.
I wanted to say thank you for this vid, I literally bought everything I needed last week Im waiting for the megazord from Amazon so I can finally start!!!
(Bruno throws megazord) (Everyone's heart stops) THANKS BRUNO! lol
He survived!
That part made me chuckle lol
@@MMPRtoys Now we got to have a skit where the Megazord comes back and throws Bruno out of the chair for revenge!
I absolutely ADORE that ending sequence hahah 😭😭
Was genuinely shocked both toys were the same mold in the intro. Huge improvement.
Those are some great upgrades to the Hasbro set.
I told you they had decals I’m happy you finally did a video on them
We've been promoting BD15 for nearly a decade, I knew. :) I finally got another Megazord from Amazon. Still more than I wanted to spend, but, I at least paid less than buying it again at Target. I hope everyone can look at this channel and kinda see me as someone who knows things? Especially things I've been doing for years...?
Ok
I thought you were going to show if Hasbro Megazord was compatible with legacy dragonzord
I just bought the hasbro megazord. Still in package. I also have the 2010 megazord still in package. That one is going over $200! So yes get it now!
I live vicariously through you as always... Thanks for showing us the great job on the detail! You should have a megazord mask where the megazord chestplate becomes your teeth and smile. That would be so funny!
35 dollars is cheap compared to what they are selling here in the PH. They charge 50 here not including shipping.
I hope a company that makes filler pieces for Transformers does the same for the zords too
The hollow parts also bug the hell out of me, I'd love to see what you think of my own painted megazord, but mine is the original. I totally also did the dragonzord, and you were completely my inspiration to do it all. Thanks so much for that, and I await your view with great anticipation
Your awesome been following you guys since 2013. I never thought to use a make up brush to dust my Megazord collection. Thanks 😊
They always seem expensive at Target, but we found a place near us called Big Lots, I think, it it was a set of three brushes for a few bucks. I've been wanting something like that for a while, and they work well :)
@@MMPRtoys i know that place i have a couple around me i will have to get those.
Just when I have given up hope I come across this video. Waiting for all my items to arrive can't wait to start this project! Your video's are awesome dude😁
I do love that ballcap.
Soul of Chogokin is the best followed by your personal upgrade. Looks great 👍
Bluefin was selling Soul of Chogokin King Brachion at clearance for under $200 last year!
I painted the pterodactyls tail silver to match the stickers
Love the hat Bruno and I love the megazord too.
I'm very happy that I watch that video cause I got the Lightspeed Rescue megazord with no stickers and I remember your video and order them so Thanks Bruno 👍
We need 3rd party upgrade kits for these tbh, especially the legs. What I wouldn't give to make the Tank Mode actually function.
Your painting skills are Morphinominal
Thumbs up for Big Pimpin Titanus!
What a lovely reward for staying to the end of the video.
Pimping Titanus never disappoints 😂
The return of Big Pimpin’ Titanus!
:-D
I just painted my Hasbro megazord using acrylic paints. No extra decals. Looks pretty good if I do say so myself.
Not all the details are touched upon, but enough to stand up with other megazord toys.
Great video Bruno and Mia, great job on the Megazord.
Can't wait for those Wild Force SMP
Great job Bruno. It looks awesome.
