Okay, 4 things. Pete is an awesome player. Lee has a great ear for sounds. All of those peddles have a good to great usable sound. And that strat is kinda kickin in that yellow coat. Love it all guys. Nice.
Great review gents. Picked up my MojoMojo PG edition today and have played with it. I use a Katana MKII 50 and whilst I can switch channels using dual latching foot switch, have been building up my pedal board for use on clean channel. Can't beat the feeling of stomping on a real pedal. Also want the versatility and immediate access to change sounds as required. This pedal gives me the warmth and overdrive I need to take my amp to edge of break up and sound more tube like in the first instance. It can get dirtier and fuzz up but I intend on using it as a slightly driven overdrive and then stack other pedals into it for further overdrive and gain. I ran my Boss BD2 and SD1W into it and wow, sounded luscious and added the warmth and width I was looking for. These pedals into the MM are gorgeous. Stacking the SD into the BD into the MM is also wild. I was originally looking to get the Boss OD3 but couldn't find available at price point I was looking for. Also thought about the TC Cinders but remember Pete saying and complaining about the pedal activating when switch comes back up. It put me off too. So the I bought the MM. And so glad I did. Oh yes, the 11 switch tightens everything up. Personally I prefer it down. But hey that's the beauty of music, each to his or her own. Rock on fellow groovers.
I think I might actually prefer the original version of the MojoMojo, but one thing is certain, the MojoMojo is one of the best overdrive pedals ever made, and is even moreso for its reasonable cost.
@@bgm9517 I use that to fatten fender style guitars with maple fretboards. I also have a flying V and a Les Paul copies. With the les paul I turn the bass knob down. But I even added a bass cut switch to that guitar, because the pickups are a bit muddy. It is a versatile pedal you can use with different guitars and amps. I did like all of the OD pedals reviewed here. Versatile is good but sometimes plugin into something more subtle and simple like the raw dawg is the way to go. The mojo mojo I own is the original version.
I listened to Scott McKeon's album after watching this, it is one of the best things I've heard for a long time. Would probably never have come across this otherwise, so thanks for the tip Pete!
Been in love with Scott’s playing since his album Can’t Take No More, make sure to check it out as well (and his album Trouble), he can sing as well! There’s some great stuff as well on his SoundCloud
The Way Huge STO sounds sick here. My favourite of the this bunch for sure. Especially at the end switching fast between the pedals with the Les Paul. It sounds so much more open and natural where the others sound very congested and compressed.
@Mark Seymour me too. I like ideal condition instruments, for me it is a 50\50. But on the other hand - first scratch is always a heartbreaker. And on relic guitars it does not matter.
@Mark Seymour well, I guess you are right :) Probably it became part of the perfect guitar look for some people. For those, who want it look only this way. I was just thinking about this yesterday. Guitar world is kinda weird, especialy for outsiders 😁
I used to have little interest in watching Anderton's reviews of guitar and bass oriented gear. It's coming up on 40 years that I've been a musician and I spend and hope to continue to spend a lot of $ + € + £ on gear. Despite Anderton's employees from Danish Pete to Rabea to Lee being very nice and polite I found, from the onset, one "individual" to be ... well (I won't even bother with improper comments), I'm just glad to see he's not here which makes this video all the more pleasant to view. Cheerio. Mike.
I'll take that Dr. Robert pedal in the background if you're not going to use it. :) I'm a Beatles fanatic and would love to get one someday. You guys are my favorite channel to watch. Thanks for the incredible content!
This might sound dumb, but hear me out. Can you do a video on the power supplies you sell? I think there's things to talk about. I'm about to spend two hundred dollars on a Fender Level 8 or maybe an MXR iso, but no one talks about them so I just end up buying nothing.
While you were describing it, I was hoping the Rhubarb was going to be a drive between two EQs instead of an EQ between two drives. That’s something I’d be more interested in.
I think this pedal acts best with gain after it. I played mine at GC with a katana 2 50. It sounded better to me than the MXR GT-OD I paired it against. I think the Boss had a little gain on it because it sounded different when I got home with my stereo Delta Blues setup. I spent more time than I did at GC to dial in some tones. Cascading the MXR into the TC, the overall sound is amazing and really lets you tweak the tonality.
Can you guys do a comparison of the new super reverb tone master vs the tube version? I thought I saw a hint towards that one on a FB post but would love to hear your thoughts
@@felipew101 hi, the Gladio is versatile enough to reach Mayer's tone too, but it's actually designed with Robben Ford sound in mind... The Antique is instead inspired by John Mayer trio sound...
Yes great, thanks guys all very good. But could I ask please that you dont talk over each other, sometimes you are both talking at the same time and 'i cant understand either of your points. Its something that would really improve your vids. Thanks, just saying.
Brilliant editing with the Lee & England gag.

Pre-ordered the PG MojoMojo, it`s a shame it got delayed but these things happen! Very excited for it!
@@voiceofexperience Good one! XD

That yellow strat is perhaps the first time I've kind of warmed up to a relic job. (Specifically ones with paint wear/chipping down to the wood)
And on the flip side this is the first time I've warmed to a yellow strat!

yes people headroom in pedals is real. and is important when choosing a drive especially. (the volume difference) well pointed out lee!
Really interested in the new PG MojoMojo. I only recently bought the standard one, and it’s such a great drive pedal.
That Cornerstone tone is so "classic" sounding. Fantastic. 8:18
The 59 Pound one was my fav of the bunch! Go go gadget Mojo Mojo !
Yeah, it's a great pedal at a great price!
Your not alone Lee, Still feeling the pain from the England loss
I don't know why but both of you sound extra British in this episode and I love it
I have the original Mojo Mojo and absolutely jumped on the pre-order for the PG version. Still my favorite pedal on my board.
That strat is awesome! Looks like a B styled nanner with brown stem and all.
Hello everybody!.the SM fuzz is the purest fuzz I've ever heard. Emotion brute.

If I was in the market for a new pedal, I would check out the Raw Dawg. Nice video gentlemen.
Good choice! 💜
This is the best video series ever
I would murder for Scott Mckeon to appear in an episode, if your dear leaders allow it.
Scott McKeon'sfuzz is perfection
Just listened to Scott Mckeon… Christ! Wowza!! 😮
that yellow fender must be one of the most beautiful guitar i ever saw
Man That’s An Awesome Lineup of Pedals 👍👍🎶🎶🎸Rockin.
This was great! Way Huge STO or TCE PG Mojomojo... STO maybe a bit clearer, both had fat bottom. But what was the signal chain in this video?

I think that strat looks just like the tele you made from the purple one on the 1st April a couple of years back... very cool. :-)

TC electronic makes very good quality pedals.
Captain rhubarb is sour not bitter, add sugar in a pie just like a pie apple.😆
the STO dont remind me of ODR in a slightest. Great sounding pedal adding all the articulation and volume boost I want from OD pedal.
Raw doggin' baby! It has to be good with that name bc raw doggin is the only way to do it!
yellow strat.
Great Video! Make more videos like this one!
like this format guys.. maybe do the same with amps?
Good stuff. Do the TC Electronic Zeus. Can you get a decent Klon for 60 quid?

I rather like the shape of the Mojo's knobs.
Something's telling me Pete likes Scott McKeon...
I hear that the gladio cornerstone was supposed to do the John Mayer trio sound. (Correct me if I'm wrong)
Gladio is Robben Ford / Sonny Landreth Dumble tones
