They both con recover both of them weaknesses, tails is bad at melee but knuckles is the best at it, knuckles is bad when his abilities are on cooldown or exe is trying to predict an stun, but tails at long range can stun exe and let knuckles get cooldown and scape,good combos are also Eggman & sally = egg stuns exe while jukes and sally gives him shield Rouge & tails = can give tails easier shots Amy & knuckles = stun chain exe and safest way to do a hammer throw cuz knuckles can stun if timing missed Sally & cream = can help cream with shields while she helps others or distract exe while she heals the team Eggman & tails = same for knuckles and tails but egg got the scape advantage and tails the possibility of double stun Knuckles & cream =can heal him while he survives/stuns/blocks exe, any damage done can be healed in distance or when he scapes(knuckles can survive alot of time for cream to get heal back so thats why is more worth to heal a good knuckles player) This is not a duo but I had to say it, the boys trio = can triple stun exe, can save each other for a LONG time and can distract exe while the others wait for cooldown (only egg and knuckles would to it, tails kinda cant) while tails is able to help the one being chased of them

i prefer tails and knuckles duo since tails can snipe from afar and if exe dodges then knuckles hit em with the block and punch combo
