Jaap uses a knotless tapered leader with a tip of 15 lbs

If the leader material is thinner than 12 lb Maxima, than Jaap goes up to 17 to 20 lbs

Steelhead on dries is like putting monofiliment on a fly reel and bottom bouncing but they both work
