I discovered Donna way back when (I have a vhs tape lol)...kids and life and 20 yrs later I picked up a brush agian and my practice came out pretty good her... techniques transcend time! So happy to discover her agian on TH-cam! Now to get my DD plastic practice sheets back off my now grown daughter who is a wonderful portrait artist. Thank you Donna for reminding me to take time for my own creativity!!
Wanted to add I now live in Valrico,Fl. I used to live in Plant City, moved to NY for 10 yrs and came back to enjoy my retirement and be closer to my daughter. Thankyou for the many years of lessons and inspiration. I used to teach oil painting in a small art and craft shop called The artistree,in Plant City.
Donna taught me to paint years ago. I became one of her Certified teachers and taught hundreds of people to paint. Now that I'm retired I've joined her Advantage program and learn new designs and techniques every week for a budget price! Love the discount on supplies! Donna is an amazing teacher and friend.
There is you’re beautiful Classic Cabbage Rose. That rose is what made me want to learn One Stroke Painting back in 2000. Donna’s method is the easiest way to learn how to paint beautiful flowers in acrylics. We love you Donna!
I used to use your method years ago, but life got busy and now retired, here I am again. I had a booklet of yours "somewhere" in my craft room. I had to go find it to remember the name of your method and your name. I did that 2 days ago and now I'm binge watching. Bought new paint brushes and paints and I'm ready! Thank you.
You are starting from the beginning!!!!! Fun!!!! The good old days!! I'm sooo excited!!! 😄😄😄😄 Plaid days, Carol Duvall days, HSN days!!!! I need to get back to my painting again. Of course I have EVERYTHING! and I mean EVERYTHING, glass, wall and my favorite (edit: Watercolor on Canvas One Stroke, but I've stopped when I became a puppy mom 😄 Now my love is all grown- lol and I'm ready to get into my favorite craft again. Perfect timing, how do you know? 😄😄😄
Oh wow you truly resonate with me! I took classes at Michaels Craft store and loved it! Purchased Donna's paint from TV shopping, brushes, books videos. Loved it but then buried my husband and Mom and got away from it. Now I'm looking to get back to the "good ole days". I wish you success as well! Thank you Donna!
Oh Wow I've watched you way back in the 80's! I continue to paint with one stroke painting. So now I just turned 70 and still love it. Have all your books and those VHS's. I just purchased another set of brushes.
When I started to learn I really liked the laminated lesson sheets that had the arrows to indicate direction of strokes. I could practice strokes right on guide and whipe of.
Amazing…I use to watch you on Carol Duvall I believe and I was amazed then and am still amazed. I am wanting to learn to paint as I see as being relaxing.
It’s so good to see you again. I used to watch you on TV. And then you disappeared I didn’t know where you went. And then another TH-camr commented on you and so I had to hurry over and find your TH-cam channel.I am definitely a big fan of yours. You’re so fun to watch. You make amazing things. And make it look so easy. I will be binge watching every single one of your videos. Thanks for sharing. You are wonderfully talented.
Dream come true...I have wanted this for so long...lost all my videos and practice sheets when my husband passed away in 2005...I had just collected the supplies whe he was diagnosed with Cancer...all my supplies were ruined in storage...but I so glad that it's not too late...can't afford to join but subscribed here...
Love to have you paint with me. , subscribing is free just click the subscribe and it will remind you when I’m on and help me with numbers honey. Thanks. Love donna
What a beautiful woman in and out thank you so very much Donna! You are the bestest teacher ever I love your art and the way you teach…you’re amazing I can’t thank you enough for sharing your content god bless love you! ❤️
Hi Donna, I watched your I video in an attempt to learn how to paint a 3-D cali-Lilly. My ears perked up when you mentioned the sessions you do with your students offering them a place to share their thoughts and heal while they paint. I wrote a book Life Out of Order…Coping with Narcissism Through Humor. In an effort to offer a more direct approach I’ve been laying out a plan for Strokes and Jokes where we can all get together in a virtually. Everyone is welcome to bring a joke, paint a picture and share their stories. Healing through humor, art, music is all the same. Do what makes you happy and the healing will follow. At the end people go away with positive stokes, a virtual pat on the back and a sense of accomplishment with their art. I would love to hear your thoughts on this. There are so many people who are struggling. I want to do my part by sharing the stories of who I triumph over being raised by a narcissist. I look forward t hearing back fro you. Be well. Gg
@@DonnaSDewberry if you have the means and/or a message it is the only right thing to do. When we get a few Strokes and Jokes in the can, I will reach back out and see if you think we can do something together. Meanwhile, thank you for doing what you do and I’ll keep practicing the stroke that I cannot seem to get right. LOL. Be well Gg
Sorry, no kits are included but you do get 10% off purchases at onestroke.com. All of the perks for the membership are listed at th-cam.com/users/donnasdewberryjoin
Hi I so badly want to learn to paint and trying to get supplies together. Amazon has Folk Art floating medium but the bottle does not look at all like your and neither one says clear and neither does the Amazon description. Not sure what to do here. Love your work and cant' wait to get started!
FolkArt Floating Medium is available at www.onestroke.com. The bottles have changed design, but still the same content. It doesn't say clear. Just Floating Medium.
I have been binge watching your cabbage rose videos for a month now and practicing several hours a day. I can easily do the outside petals ( first 5) and then I mess it up. Do I have to have your brushes and the float medium to complete the rose and not mess it up?
Best success happens with my brushes, made to work with my technique because they are thinner, slightly longer and have more spring. Also the paint is critical, Plaid FolkArt Multi-Surface is best. All available at onestroke.com
Yes it is acrylic and you can also buy it on her website. She's the best and a good warm-hearted person period once you're with her you won't want to leave her. Have fun
Wonderful, please join the One Stroke Advantage Monthly Membership at th-cam.com/users/donnasdewberryjoin. Three levels to choose from. AND if you want more, see my website at www.onestroke.com for monthly Live Zoom 2-hour classes, where One Stroke Advantage members save 10%.
Because you're watching this on TH-cam, you can change the playback speed to make it as slow as you want. Underneath the video, click on settings, then "playback speed".

There is beauty in the dark

I love the way you paint...but l m from Colombia is it possible to get it in spanish?
I don't have ability to translate to Spanish, sorry
Whats the medium for
Floating Medium helps to thin the paint to a transparent color without breaking down the properties of the paint, like water would.
This is how facepainters do our painting. Been doing it this way for years.
Looks easy but difficult and I studied art
Very nice beautyful mom
Not sure about simple! Want to learn but looks way harder than a beginner can do
My technique is designed for the beginner painter, just takes some practice.
LOL wipe.
Sorry to fast for me
