    Good to see your thought process as you work your way through the problems in getting a working tool ti pick the lever lock. It's an interesting concept to pick from the bottom of the keyway thus eliminating the need to suspend the tension tool higher up the keyway. That's normally done by using the hole at the back of the lock.
    Great video Paul, now you have got me thinking on ideas to make tools that works from the bottom of the keyway 🤔.

      Thank you for watching and commenting. Sorry to have got you pondering. 😂 I guess that’s the beauty of being a lever lock novice, I look at things differently than if I was a seasoned lever picker. Cheers.

      Nick, thanks for the comment. It was nice of Brummie to send these out. I learnt quite a bit from doing this, especially trying to make the right tools, but that was part of the fun.

    Id say that your main problem might be that the picking tip on your pick wire is too long. It only needs to be as long as the bit on the key that moves the bolt.

    • @sotonlock7894
      @sotonlock7894 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are absolutely correct in your comments. However I was being lazy and used the bottom of the keyway as a pivot for my tensioning tool and therefore the tensioner had to be extra long. If I had done it properly and pivoted my tensioner on the same axis as a key then yep it’s far too long. Thank you for watching and your comments.
