    Thanks for that "procedure", Paul. I'm spending a lot of time these days exploring MidJourney... and others. Much time is just spent looking for a working method. Getting good results, though. It's a little awkward to begin with, but, little by little, I'm understanding how to "talk" to MidJourney. Also looking at a few others with GUIs, but they want a lifetime payment upfront, even before you experiment. Kinda dumb. Invoke looks interesting, too.

      It's like the wild west out there right now as companies look to monetize what AI can do. It will settle down over the next 12-18 months and become much more structured. But, expecting payment up front is a little silly for sure!

    Thanks for this. When I click on the variation button, it doesnt give me the option to tweak the prompt (add a different aspect ratio). It just starts generating the image. Can you please tell me how I get the prompt dialogue box to pop up first? Thanks Andy

    New to Midjourney and don't know what I'm doing wrong. I wanted an image for my chatBOT page on my website but couldn't get anything close. I gave up and tried to get yours using "cute AI robot" but couldn't even get yours. I'm getting everything except robots.

    Great video. Love the details you offer. I have one question though. You uploaded a 2mb PNG to the web page? Wouldn't you optimized with .jpg or .webp format instead?

    • @WPTuts

      Absolutely! I’d generally optimise and create several different size variations for the different break points too.
      But, this video was more about the creation process. 👍

    Question, on the coding on the image. Do you credit MidJourney that created the image for you?

    • @WPTuts
      @WPTuts  ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn't, no. But I wouldn't be using the AI-generated images in a live site - I'd use them for prototyping.
      As always, be sure to read the T&C's to see any info about copyrights if you intend to use them commercially.

    On another subject: There is a fair amount of concern about the AI scraping other people's work.... or using a signature style. Not sure how to feel about that yet. After all, there has always been a certain amount of "inspiration" derived from the work of others. It's standard practice in art school (says my wife who attended a pro school in the Bay Area). My son is senior art director of a VR company and he is really concerned about this issue. He's keeping his use of AI to uploading their existing images and massaging those. Interesting dilemma.

    • @staceykimbell9324
      @staceykimbell9324 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Studying the work of others is standard procedure in study, but not in commercial use as these developers did when scraping the internet for training data.

    • @billgrey
      @billgrey ปีที่แล้ว

      @@staceykimbell9324 I confess to not knowing enough about this to even agree or disagree. I hope we can end up with a system that is usable without trampling on people's intellectual/artistic rights. Money usually wins out over ethics, unfortunately. For right now, I'm using it mainly to brainstorm layouts and the like..... not to create art. If it turns out to be "legal" but "unethical".... I will not use it.

    • @WPTuts

    There are talks of 'watermarks' being placed into ChatGPT generated text, and apparently Google will be provided with these 'watermarks', ultimately resulting on a knock down in rank. Could the same happen with graphics / art?

    • @WPTuts

      Possibly - Until Google come out with their own AI tools (which I believe are already in the works).

    • @Beyondarmonia

      Google has specifically said they don't downrank AI generated content. As long as the content ( AI or human made ) is made for humans, and not the algorithm, they won't downrank it. So AI to make content is okay. AI to optimise SEO is not.
