Custom VDS B6 Codex vs. Gillio B6 Appunto

Hi Planner Friends!
I wanted to share this comparison of the VDS B6 Codex vs the Gillio B6 Appunto Undyed. When I was looking to make a decision between the two I was looking for videos like this and found there weren't very many. I hope this helps someone who may be wondering about the differences. Commenting on an old video feels so weird, but I wanted to thank you for posting this! Based on your comments, I added a sample of the Cuoio 6208 to my sample order, even though I was pretty set on the Janet Leather Brown at the time. Needless to say, the sample was amazing, and I just got my Cuoio 6208 codex a few days ago. It's the most amazingly soft leather I've ever touched. Everybody's all about the JL Brown, but I absolutely love my Cuoio, and I know I would have overlooked this leather entirely if you hadn't mentioned it. So thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts!

Good video!! I was wondering if you were using a B6 Stalogy in the VDS? Had you changed the standard dimensions for that planner at all? I have a B6 Stalogy with a clear cover and was wondering if it would fit with the standard configurations! Thank you!!

Hi Shannon! Thank you for watching and liking my video! Yes, I am using a B6 Stalogy and I did not have to modify the height or width dimensions of my VDS to fit it in with the Lauren Phelps Designs clear cover. It is a little tight, but with a little (and I mean little) effort you can definitely get it in. I think it fits nicely!

It sounds like you actually had more complaints about your VDS than the Gillio, 😂, i just use the clip on my pen with the pen loop, always have, i can see why some would rather have a bigger one though, im also one of those people who would pay extra for square corners, i just think they look neater, more clean, thats just me though. To each their own! Ive looked at VDS but when i really thought about designing my own i just wanted a gillio layout, 😂, so i just go with gillio, why pay 200$ more for those pockets i want? I also find that Gillio leather is just more durable all around, i spill water on my cover all the time and its never stained it.

The ridiculous pen loop on gillio always annoys me. It's too thin to fit my regular pen🥲
