- Meet APXGP. Sonny Hayes and Joshua Pearce. #F1Movie only in theaters this SUMMER.
From Apple Original Films and the filmmakers from Top Gun: Maverick comes the high-octane, action-packed feature film F1, starring Brad Pitt and directed by Joseph Kosinski. The film is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Kosinski, seven-time FORMULA 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Chad Oman.
Dubbed “the greatest that never was,” Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) was FORMULA 1’s most promising phenom of the 1990s until an accident on the track nearly ended his career. Thirty years later, he’s a nomadic racer-for-hire when he’s approached by his former teammate Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), owner of a struggling FORMULA 1 team that is on the verge of collapse. Ruben convinces Sonny to come back to FORMULA 1 for one last shot at saving the team and being the best in the world. He’ll drive alongside Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), the team's hotshot rookie intent on setting his own pace. But as the engines roar, Sonny’s past catches up with him and he finds that in FORMULA 1, your teammate is your fiercest competition-and the road to redemption is not something you can travel alone.
F1 also stars Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem, and has been shot during actual Grand Prix weekends as the team competes against the titans of the sport.
Kosinski directs from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger. The film is executive produced by Daniel Lupi. Collaborating with Kosinski behind the scenes are his creative team, including director of photography Claudio Miranda, production designers Mark Tildesley and Ben Munro, editor Stephen Mirrione, costume designer Julian Day, casting director Lucy Bevan and composer Hans Zimmer.
Apple Original Films Presents a Monolith Pictures / Jerry Bruckheimer / Plan B Entertainment / Dawn Apollo Films Production, A Film by Joseph Kosinski, F1, distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, in theaters and IMAX nationwide on June 27, 2025 and internationally beginning 25 June 2025.

I just can’t……..
I bet Fernando will go longer! I see him peak at 75!
One of the best decisions they could’ve ever made with shooting this film was doing so much of the racing stuff practically. I can’t tell how much of this movie could potentially be hidden CGI and that shows how good they’ve done with it.
It couldn't have been easy. We're talking speed that could make the average person soil their pants.
If yall are interested in this. See how they made the Grand Prix movie.
I am annoyed that they had good analogue cameras since 1990 and they could have made 10 such movies. They didn't.
Sure, Jan. Just like when the director (and Tom Cruise) said that all the plane scenes were filmed practically in "Top Gun: Maverick," and then it turned out it was all CGI. Not falling for THAT again.
@@jujubean8870Of course Pitt did not perform in an actual F1 car. Only American dummies would believe it. And u "felt" for Cruise in Maverick, u id_ot ? lol
I love that this is basically a movie about Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton.
It looks like Alonso got really badly burnt, isn't it?
?
It never worked. A schumi or seb and a hammy will also never work. 🤦🏻♂️
That is quite an idiotic and ignorant comment. There is only a 3 year difference between Alonso and Hamilton.

RUSH (2013) has yet to be topped as the best F1 racing drama.
It was an underrated masterpiece. Hollywood didn't learn how to appreciate it.
@@salqueenlover867didn’t Ron Howard directed it though? He’s one of the best directors of all time
@brenanream639 yes, he did
And I'm afraid it won't be by this one either. This looks too much like "Driven", story-wise. The visuals could (should) be better (if you see how Rush was made you'll understand the differences in budget), but you ultimately don't want to just show some racing highlights, but rather tell a story. And the one told in Rush, in the way it was told (plus it being absolutely true), was brilliant and captivating.
I certainly don't need another "old timer schools rookie" type of story, but I'll watch it just for the fun racing action promises.
Yeah me too@@giorginho7mobile
Joesph Kosinski directed both Top Gun Maverick and Tron: Legacy. This guy KNOWS how to capture high speed for the big screen, so you know the cinematography is going to be peak.
But it's a one and done on the big screen kinda thing. No substance.
SILENCE, SKINWALKER
@@michaelangeloh.5383 Indeed, because it’s all about the momentary ejection of adrenaline and nothing remains afterwards, which is a shame. The characters could be tailored to have some thickness in them, something to remember, all the more Brad Pitt knows how to be a tremendous actor if he is given the proper scenario. But no, all that counts is to give the brain a good shoot of dopamine and that’s it. Too bad.
Tron: Legacy, Oblivion, and Top Gun Maverick! Don't forget about Oblivion!!!
@@RexusKing Oblivion wasn't that good.
The quality of this camera is incredible.
This is some of the best camerawork I've seen in present day movies.
Sure, the physical film and imperfect lens of older days have it's charm, but the clarity and miniaturization offered by modern day cameras has its own strengths, and it is something that I have seen very few filmmakers properly make use of.

Finally a trailer that don't reveal everything from the movie!
They're in cars.
But sadly you know how brad will win the last GP ie the abu dhabi grandpix, signalling that he'd eventually come out on top of everyone inc his teammate.
bro they reveal everything, what are you saying?
It's quite clear to me based on this trailer that they call Brad Pitt back to a team to mentor a young talent but they develop a rivalry because young guy is cocky and old guy still has something to prove, they go at it all season and old guy proves himself by having a small lead going into the penultimate race, unfortunately old guy is in a crash and has to miss the final race, it looks like he might not make it but he gets to see young guy win final race and at the same time learn some humility bla bla bla. Only assuming Pitt survives because F1 had to sanction it and probably have a clause that doesn't allow fatal accidents in the movie.
It's Rocky with wheels.
The song in the trailer is The Chain by Fleetwood Mac. It was the official theme of BBC F1 before the current theme. It's an iconic song.

and they definitely did the right thing by hiring the Top Gun director, you can clearly see in this trailer alone how he handles all the racing scenes so uniquely, just like all the flight scenes in TG Maverick.
And Hans Zimmer, as the composer is just a chef's kiss👌
Agreed. I felt like Kosinski never got the respect he deserved for TG Maverick. Yes, Tom Cruise is the man and his acting/producing was a crucial part of the process but a lot of people act like that movie directed itself.
The same team created Oblivion with Tom Cruise. It flopped hard, F1 is such a niche market. I hope it finds an audience.
@@esoteric_1 F1 actually has a really big worldwide following. Plus mainstream audiences are often quite drawn to Motorsport movies such as Gran Tourismo, Ford Vs Ferrari, Rush etc so along with the star power this movie has I don't see why it shouldn't do well.
@Anonymous_0894 I'm not arguing that fact. My criteria is that big blockbuster trailers usually have fan reactions on TH-cam , at this moment, the reactions on TH-cam are few and muted. The Australian F1 had 136k attendance comparable to 100k showing up for Liverpool FC touring Australia.

Brad Pitt has said his acting career is in its last leg but I hope we get to see more good quality cinema extracted out of him in this film and others.
He's reaching the Pitt Exit.
He is already shooting a movie with David Ayer.
This is not it... This movie will be mediocre to decent at best. It's just a deal between his production-company (probably) and FIA to make a big commercial to blow Formula 1 up even more. - But don't believe this is "good quality cinema", this is really not it. It's much like that "Gran Turismo" flick, that came and went like this one will. - It can be enjoyable, sure, but that's it. - That said, sure, Brad Pitt in general will definitely do more good movies and acting. "Last leg" doesn't mean it's over, and who knows how long he will still do movies. But it kinda sounds like he doesn't want to do it for too long. He will probably keep working on his production-company, though.
@@hiteshdullu2997 David Ayer... Not a good sign. But hopefully it will be like one of his few better works. - He just seems to never really have found his stride.
