Thanks for this video. Much easier the second time. The rear driver side handle broke a few years ago. If you do this and can use a magnet to keep the bolt in place, it helps. I kept the bolt attached while I took off the cap. Then put the new handle on and replaced the cap. Whole thing took 10 minutes. Way easier than replacing the third brake light. There are helpful videos to do that yourself. Thanks again!!
Wowee if I can do this without having to take off inside panel I'll be happy bunny. 😁 But what about the rubber gaskets ? Did you use old ones or did handle come with new ?
if you want to make this job a little bit easier take the key to unlock your car, stick it in the hole, and then jiggle it but don't do it violently. LOL. it makes taking it out and putting it back in much easier in my opinion. but you know how opinions go... 🤣
I used an envelope that I strategically cupped around the bottom of my socket and extension that i used, pushed the cupped envelope around the bolt as i removed it. as it freed, the envelope blocked it from falling into the door.

Lol this just gave me anxiety 😅 how do I make sure that I don’t drop the bolt and if I do, what size is it?
I was able to take the handles off no problem. Bolt will not fall after unscrewing. Thank you for this video.
just so you know if you drop the screw you had to take the door panel off and it's pretty simple
