Dehydrating Onions, Shallots and Jalapenos| Is dehydrating in a garage worth it? How they came out

I was going through my pantry and noticed I'm just about out of dehydrated jalapenos and I didn't have any onions or shallots other than some store bought dehydrated onions. So I had bought some onions, shallots and jalapenos and to keep them from spoiling I attempted to dehydrate them in my garage. I started this project on Tuesday 7/1/24, the Shallots and Jalapenos finished on Thursday evening 7/4/24 and the onions finished Saturday 7/6/24, almost a week later. So, while I'm happy how they came out, I think it was a waste of energy resources and time. So moving forward I will have to find a spot in our 5th wheel to continue my projects.
