Very Cool air test on this detector Impressive on depth. But performance in the field would be the best test.

You are detecting with no soil in the way. Which to me could make a big difference in your detecting measurements.
Wouldn't that worsen it?
You should try to test by going across the center of the coil, when you test at the bottom (the edge of the detector), you are going to get inferior test results. Maybe set up a platform that will simulate sweeping across the ground much better and more accurately. Looks like a great value detector though. Metal detectors are always more sensitive at the center of the coil.

im curious as to how you contact sunpow about the 1rst detector you said messed up and they sent you a new one. ive debated on buying one and giving it a try but i couldnt find anywhere online jhow to contact them in case i had a problem with it
I contacted them through Amazon. Just click on the seller's name on the right of the Amazon page. It will take you to the seller's storefront. On the top right side, will be thing to click on that says ask the seller a question. Give them your order number and tell them it is not working and before you leave a negative review you are giving them a chance to make good on their product. That is how I got them to send me a new one.

This video is flawed because in indoor tests it will give you much different readings. When using outdoors, the accuracy is way less when the items are buried under dirt. Outdoors it does not pick up items as deep.
Your description is of sunpow and dr.otek so a little confused
good test but a field test is better and the Chinese detectors don't hold up as well
as the American or name brands from other country's.
I totally agree with you. I am going to do a field test with this one this week or next week. I tried out the Fisher F44 at a park today and was not too happy with it. Believe it or not my cheap Dr. Otek MT-XR works better than it. I was really surprised because I thought it would be superior. Hopefully my Bounty Hunter Time Ranger Pro will do better in the field than the Fisher F44. I am eager to take the Bounty hunter back to the same place soon and see how it performs.
@@FuturesPast1 Did you ground balance the F44 if you don't and it may take more then once they do not detect near as deep as they can.
