Some years back "they" tore down the beautiful old Victorian train station, built in the 1890s. I remember it well, the smudged windows, the smell of cigar smoke, waiting excitedly for the train to wisk my mother and me to Hoboken and to cross by ferry to New York to visit the museums. When quite small a big trill was going to the station at 10 in the morning to watch the Phoebe Snow come thru.
