- Eric defends his actions against Deacon claiming he was protecting Bridget. Bridget states she can no long trust Eric and runs out. Bridget arrives at Deacon's, blaming herself for what happened. Deacon doesn’t feel cheated because he now knows that Bridget believes in him. Bridget stops short of telling Deacon she cares about him but admits she has always seen something good in him. In the moment, Deacon kisses Bridget and tells her they could be great together this time. Their kiss builds as Eric bursts in and demands that Deacon take his hands off Bridget. Brooke reveals to Ridge that Sally is trying to blackmail her to get Spectra Fashions back. Just then, Sally unexpectedly arrives and spills the secret to Ridge. Ridge explains that he already knows about Brooke and Nick. Sally leaves upset that her plan was foiled. Brooke decides to tell Stephanie what happened before she hears it from someone else.

Brooke had to forgive her daughter for sleeping with nick. Later on ridge sleeps with Taylor when he was married to brooke. Not to mention the things stephanie has done to her (but that's not cheating i hear you say)

The way the writing team destroyed the Spectra team was disgusting. Sally never caught a break. Even this new Sally doesn't get a break. Eric will get his just wait for it.

Ridge was such a lap dog for Brooke. Brooke only told the truth because Sally was blackmailing her, and Ridge was harder on Sally than Brooke for sleeping with Nick. Any wonder why Broke feels so entitled when she gets a free pass on all her choices/behaviors.
Who’s sick of Ridge and Brooke talking about finally having it all and the life they planned? It’s the same talk every time they get back together.

Yes because she is the star along with stephanie ridge and eric.
She does get forgiven,but she usually pays for her mistakes when Ridge is the one she hurt.
Like when he decided to propose to Taylor on the runway in front of her and everyone.
Instead of discussing with her his feelings after seeing her kissing Grant .He decided to crush her and have her watch him propose to another woman after telling Brooke he designed a dress for her and intended to propose.
I’m not saying he should have forgiven Brooke .I’m just saying she pays a lot.

Taylor refused the ring and annulled the wedding, something that Brooke did only when Taylor was out of the picture, when HT left the show the second time and after Taylor death in 2002.
@@-Lily7415 I think 1996 was the one time on the show so far (until S17) when Brooke was actually treated unfairly. Other than that, she has usually got _less_ than she deserved - especially in these seasons we have been watching the past year (since S13).
Why is Bridget even giving her awful mother and Deacon the time of day after what they did to her? 🙄🤮 Being forgiving and having integrity doesn't equate to letting yourself be a doormat

Another writing inconsistency. Ridge said to Brooke “Nick didn’t know you were pregnant, did he?” In the last episode when Ridge had Nick by the throat, Ridge said “You better hope this baby is mine.” Do these people not remember what they write? 🤦🏾♀️
For someone who is so big on “being truthful” I wonder why it took Sally threatening her to finally admit to it. Wouldn’t it have been easier to just tell the truth right away, or better yet, NOT jump into bed with his brother and just grief like normal people without s e x with in laws?
It did show her numerous times telling Nick that she wanted to tell Ridge the truth.
He was shown always talking her out of it.I think she would have come clean eventually maybe not that night if Sally wasn’t in her ear.
The music in the beginning of this episode was one of the best scores.

The difference after Taylor's death is that Ridge forgives Brooke and stays with her acring like a puppet.
Before Taylor or Caroline, he forgave Brooke but he preferred someone else to be with, to have a life and built a family.
If the show had remained a little more realistic, the stories would have ended differently. What an indictment for the men's world when they constantly allow themselves to be led around by such a lying, cheap person. Who would have any respect for men like that? That's why it's incomprehensible to me that Taylor would ever want anything to do with Ridge again. She would have been far too self-confident for that back then.
Yes in the case of caroline he was engaged and involved with her long before brooke and with taylor he gave brooke up for her family with eric and their child. So you see he then went after his second choice taylor or pl.... l i ps

BYW, How many months after choosing Taylor for his father's sake? Very few, a month maybe. His love for Brooke (that lasted a few months after Caroline's death because he needed someone who comfort him) was already gone ..

It's so true. Eric is not an example of integrity and dignity. And Brooke and Ridge betrayed him so at least he should know how it is being betrayed by the people you love the most. But he forgot them and he has always been happy when Bridge is a couple.

Despite Deacon and Brooke's affair that resulted in the birth of Hope Logan. Bridget eventually forgave both of them for their betrayal. Her mother is happily married to Ridge and is pregnant with RJ Forrester.
