    Is the Production at the Tennesee plant halted too!? I saw a report that the German based plants have stopped production of ID4 to avoid creating a glut of unsold ID4s.

    VW needs to bring ID3 to US or drop the ID4 price by at $20K to move the gut of them which are not selling even with $10,000 off MSRP discount by dealers.

    Technik, die begeistert! Aber weniger begeistert bin ich davon, dass nach ewiger Wartezeit mein ID3 fertig produziert ist und bei einem Spediteur seit sechs Wochen nur 30 km entfernt steht und nicht ausgeliefert wird, weil LKW-Fahrer fehlen. Erst fehlten Kabelstränge, dann Chips und jetzt LKW-Fahrer (Assistenzpakete lassen sich auch nicht mehr über den Konfigurator bestellen). Was ist nur los bei VW? Garantiert mein letzter Volkswagen....

      There is a glut of these and even dealers are offering ID4 with $10,000 below MSRP!

    I placed my order for an iD.5 GTX November 2021 as soon as bookings opened. Now I’m told that first expected dated of delivery is July 2023 at best. What the hell is happening to VW? By the time I get this car, technology would have moved on and this car, at its current price tag, will not remain relevant. I’m getting second thoughts on keeping this order in place.

      Same rational caused me to cancel my ID4 in 2021 too ! Ordering an EV and waiting for a year with so many changes in the battery chemsitry and charging is crazy. Specially since VW has been unable to master over-the-air-updates. It's a shame but VW ID4 is not selling in US. VW Dealers are offering $10,000 under MSRP on ID4 and still can't get rid of their existing inventory.

    10 years from now the media will be saying how battery-powered vehicles are now really bad for the environment and how we should all start buying hydrogen-powered vehicles instead even though that technology exists today.

      Exactly! The hord is buying battery powered trash. Same is happening with garden tools, while I keep using and buying petrol gear.
      Even now Belgium for example is struggling with solar panels, chargers, etc.
      It all sounds "green" but it isn't.
      Grtz.

      The car that has truly no emissions is the one that doesn't exist.
      Hydrogen on passenger cars is simply ridicoulous: you are sitting on a 700 bar bomb with a low 30% efficiency. Need to spend billions to build the production, storage and distribution facilities.
      While with electric vehicles you can produce your own energy with solar panels.
      All of this is recyclable to make new batteries and solar panels.
      The fuel you have burnt in your petrol car is gone forever...

      @@theagentsmith - Liquid hydrogen that leaks into an enclosed space with normal temperatures will cause huge gas pressures that will tear apart vessels without safety valves. The two biggest risks of fuel cell and hydrogen-powered cars are the chance of getting an electric shock and the fact that the fuel can catch fire.
      Now that the calf has drowned, the government is busy building even more bicycle paths and alternatives. Way too late.
      A Honda Grom etc or simply the bike. Also improve the infrastructure.
