good change. impacts for the most part cannot be countered so this helps give the attackers just bit less of a disadvantage

They reduced the range of impact nades? Good, that was busted and made attack, which is undeniably at a constant disadvantage, slightly more fair.
exactly my point. You don't just get away with not bringing breach denial bcoz you have some splodey balls, everything has a role in the game. The majority of ppl wouldnt even notice the change if it wasnt shoved in their faces lmao

This only works on very specific maps and even more specific sites though. On top of that, I've only ever seen it used whenever defenders don't already have breach denial as they are used a majority of the times to make rotates if no one brought a shotgun, or kept in pocket to get a downed person out of LOS or for shields. The easier fix would have been to make the reinforcements go all the way up, but instead they nerfed something that didn't really need to be nerfed, because now people will probably complain about this EXACT thing when the C4s start getting used instead.
@strombo530 c4 is a much more viral utility to defenders, and I'm perfectly okay with c4 spam being a thing. At the end of the day, impacts required no skill and couldn't be countered, making the walls go all the way up would buff defenders even more and make frags completely useless.
Good, Impacts were arguably the most busted shit on defense along with C4s.
Simply because you can't counter them, if your enemy is a tiny bit coordinated, you're just gonna lose a shit ton of things to impact tricking.
Since Ubisoft seems DETERMINED to not add counters to defender C4s and impacts, this is the second best option.
At least with C4s you can shoot them if you have a quick reaction

well for the c4 you can shoot it and emp it with emp nade, but yeah the impact nade didnt have counter at all

And yes, there are still cheaters using that one on console. Over 56% of Siege’s total playerbase has cheated at least once. This is yet another one of them.
Heck, by the statistics it’s a coin toss whether or not I’m talking to a cheater right now.
Kinda weird so many people dont like this change, it's going to speed up gameplay. Stop making me spend 9 days to breach.

I both hate and love this change on one hand it makes breaching possible again but on the other hand it makes denial in ranks really hard
the whole point abt denial is to stall time, if att takes too long easy round so boo hoo if you can’t get in sight without a breach

Finally I don't need to spend a century on hard breaching, and seeing all charges got impact tricked
Nerfing the impact nade range amazing! It needed to be done, with all the breach denial operators in the game it is ridiculous that attackers can be constantly at a major disadvantage because the defending team could deny hard breaching without having a single hard breach denial operator. Azami and goyo alone could stage off two hard breachers at once. The whole point of having hard breach denial was prioritizing anchor and breach prevention over fragging ability. U take denial and time wasting over the ability to get kills faster and easier. Instead teams and players could bring high fragging and fast ops without having to sacrifice that. However I do hate they took away them from lesion as he has become one of the main shield counters ESPECIALLY after the HUGE shield bufs, PLUS they reduced the damage, so the easiest and move effective way and operator to deal with a shield has now become almost unviable. U can shoot monti in the leg 3 times with a SMG on defense and put too impacts to his shield or feet and he will still be alive. Crazy
Okay but hear me out... Small explosions get stopped by metal walls irl.
Thank god, impact grenades were (and will still be) the best option for gadgets whenever they're available. Defenders get all types of counters to utility but there was no counter to impact tricking. Attack already has such a massive disadvantage.
