I think you're now ready to pay a visit to Dr. Bryson's Lab in the Citadel.
I would even say you absolutely should do the Bryson DLC before cerberus.
And I know it feels weird after what happened and just having gotten a clue on a possible Cerberus trail but trust me if you follow that it's even weirder then to stop the natural flow of progression to go check out Dr Bryson's lab.

I edited just in case though to be fair I think that's how it's named when you buy it for the normal edition.
But you're absolutely right that Chris should play as he prefers, I'm just fulfilling the promise we made him at the start of the game to let him know when it was best to do the DLC's. So now he knows and can make an informed choice :)

In the cut content it was actually Sidonis, the turian traitor from Garrus's loyalty mission in ME2, who helps Garrus's sister and father escape Palaven, paying him back. If Garrus kills him, they would have died there. Rather karmic response for the straightest revenge.

What's also interesting about that temple is that Liara commented on it, how Benezia took Liara there as a child and how all of her files on that temple were encrypted. Better encrypted than the military encryption on the temple itself. Makes you wonder how much Benezia knew and how much she was planning to tell Liara when she grew up. With Liara being obsessed by archeology and Protheans, perhaps Benezia was already preparing her to expose her to the beacon in that temple - until she got swallowed up by Saren.
*Thessia*
Do you know why the loss on Thessia feels so gut-wrenching? Because ever since ME1, you pretty much always won the fights, you saved colonies, you saved entire planets. Every battle you went into, you won - or you could make a comeback to win if it didn't work out the first time. This _literally_ is the first time you lost in the entire trilogy. Your first loss without a backup plan to win after taking a beating. So yeah, even as a player this is something you're not familiar with and it definitely leaves a sour taste.
*PTSD Asari*
Yep, you've wrapped up that entire sequence now. Therapy session's over, so the Asari left.
*Dr. Bryson*
Looks like you can finally visit Dr. Bryson now, or visit Horizon. You're in the final stretch, like Ilos, so there's not much room to do the DLCs. Horizon's pretty much the last stop you have before you get to the point of no return.
*Daughter to Thessia*
Yep. That's a very unfortunate circumstance, getting your daughter to Thessia only for the Reapers to land there. Every new playthrough I feel bad for not being able to warn her in advance...

Go back. Load a save. Discard the progression afterwards. Whatever.
Agreed it's honestly essential dialogue from a RP point of view, you can't miss that !

@ChrisTheNjord I've said this before, but _survey EVERY system,_ even if you don't have any quests there. You will find minor war assets (at least one in every cluster) that you would miss otherwise. Also, if you want to know something about the PTSD Asari (spoiler alert!)
The young girl that the Asari killed to avoid being found... that was Joker's sister. His father was probably one of the indoctrinated colonists. Joker's family is gone.
Your teammates don't aim for the head but they can headshot from time to time. It's usually less damage than the extra ammo tho.
Also, Jimmy Vega took out that Cerberus base pretty much by himself haha. That man is a BEAST. The joke that he's the Krogan of ME3 is not that much of a joke tbh
You probably noticed that Liara was way less squishy when using a gun that actually works.
Agreed, the conversation with TIM on Thessia was in a way very similar in tone with the one we had with Saren on Virmire.
They also both think they can outsmart the reapers in a way, Saren thought that by cooperating with them we could keep our lives, TIM thinks that we can use their tech against them and control them like they're trying to control us.
Also in a previous episode you noted how it seemed that TIM was studying indoctrination or trying to use it and in any case very obsessed with the whole process and I didn't say anything at the time to avoid giving up some clue that TIM might be indoctrinated but now that you had the mission on Thessia where you are given that clue, remember that Saren too was studying indoctrination ? Half of his base on Virmire was dedicated to exactly that, the Asari scientist we met there told us he seemed worried/afraid it was affecting him too and wanted to find a way to prevent that.

Also, so many people miss it but if you don’t completely barge in on Daniels and Donnelly and hang back a little you get to hear their conversation before they see you.
Your girlfriend Liara is all alone, crying her eyes out after her home world got basically destroyed, her whole religion toppled down, basically her whole universe just crashed down on her head... And you don't even go to see how she's been handling that? Nah, I am sure she'll be alright. Men, amirite? 😂
Liara is boring as hell. He was right to ignore her 😂
@@Rapunzel879 having a harmonious relationship with ACTUAL romance scene and not just fade in black (like many other characters have) is boring, than YES, I love boring girlfriends. Because it means everything goes smoothly.
He already visited Liara's quarters but she was not there. There's no way to know that she went back now and is sobbing there.
@@Raivo_K When she visited Liara's cabin than she was at Javik's cabin. But where else would have Liara go after the fight with Javik? After you have an emotional fight with someone, you will be okay after that like nothing happened? Not only Liara's faith was shattered but also her Planet and her people and everything she knew was in ruins. So yeah, it's natural to think that after that fight she still has some more to say.

Asari didn't get anything about the Reapers from the beacon. You got full access to it because of the cipher (and because of an actual Prothean with you). They were just siphoning bits and pieces of technical data from it for centuries without touching on the Vendetta persona.
And now IS the time to do Dr. Bryson's lab.
And discard EVERYTHING you did afterward and go talk to your girlfriend who is mourning the loss of her *world* and whom you left all alone without even checking on her. **facepalm**
I do like how you're willing to pick the bottom responses in the conversations (which more often than not is considered the renegade response) if it fits what you want to say. Too many let's play's just auto-paragon everything and it feels disingenuine. Small detail but considering we watch these to see what you would choose and how you would react small details like that are nice.
Chris, you did the right thing by not authorizing the weapon permit for the PTSD Asari. She would've killed herself if you had 😢

Well in fact the Asari not sharing the beacon with the rest of council space civilizations IS in fact wrong regardless of any moral or strategic judgement because they made it illegal.
Council law states it's illegal not to share Prothean artifacts and technology with the other races in council space.
They made this law and violated it from the start.
As for the beacon containing reaper info or not well there is something that bothers me strongly in that vein of thinking but l’m not going to elaborate before the end of the game because it's also related to many future spoilers.

I almost always sigh when watching playthroughs and seeing the post Thessia convo between Javik and Liara. Most folks just throw reason to the wind and side with Mary Sue, even though she is objectively in the wrong, over-reacting, aggressive, and in denial. Also, the "Apologize Javik" option should be the Renegade, not the Paragon, because you're just antagonizing him for no real reason.
But, just like in real life, folks end up having to apologize for speaking the truth. Hurts the soul.
Disregard the feelings of a person who just lost more than anyone on our planet can even imagine and kick her when she is deep in her grief.

Of course Javik is technically right about everything. But there is such a thing as elementary tact, you know.
Also, do you actually know what Mary Sue is? Because Liara is almost a diametrically opposite character.

@ Critical thinking it means question everything, something Americans lack these days, since they only do identity politics and follow the loudest voice, meanwhile teachers getting fired for teaching students HOW to think critically.
But having high intelligence is not only about saying the truth as a robot but to think a way to get across your message somehow. That means you have to kinda understand some sense of emotional behavior from especially emotional people, like Liara. So you have know when to say the truth and also how to say it.
Also quoting from Wikipedia "A Mary Sue is a type of fictional character, usually a young woman, who is portrayed as free of weaknesses or character flaws. The character type has acquired a pejorative reputation in fan communities, with the label "Mary Sue" often applied to any heroine who is considered to be unrealistically capable".
By reading this, Liara has flaws, being emotional is one of them (just like Javik said) and she is not the most capable person, many times she needs Shepard's help and she is not Over Powered at all.
How could you so ignore Liara and not follow her to her cabin? And of course I give a thumbs down because you deserved it.
