There are 3 sub-units in Seventeen:
Hiphop unit: S.coups (SVT leader + unit leader), Wonwoo, Mingyu, Vernon.
Performance unit: Hoshi (unit leader), Jun, The8, Dino.
Vocal unit: Woozi ( unit leader), Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, SeungKwan.
The unit has been there since debut, no swapping lol but we all know they actually can do it all

Seventeen are all rounders and can basically fit into any unit. but the official Hip Hop Unit Members are S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu and Vernon. Just a bit of history Vernon was first put in the Performance Unit because of dance skills and S,Coups in the Vocal Unit because he had trained with other groups as a vocalist but because of their love of HIp Hop and knowledge they were switched into the Hip Hop Unit. Actually when the members started crossing and performing songs with certain members Mingyu and S,Coups were doing vocals before Vernon or Wonwoo but the first Hip Hop member to perform Vocals in a performance was Vernon. Also Vernon joined the Performance team on the song Jam Jam and Woozi and Hoshi performed on a hip Hop Unit song. this is why I pretty much say they are all rounders. we also had 2 collabs with Vernon and Joshua singing together, another collab where Mingyu and Wonwoo sang together and some vocal unit songs that S,coups performed in.
