I have a career in finance, and it's my job to assess the creditworthiness of businesses. I always find it challenging speaking with people about business practices, when they don't understand the basics of finance. This channel is great, because you are bringing some simple high level explanations of business to the masses, while mixing in stories of your own business. Keep bringing us these videos, one of my favorite channels on YT.
You should look into getting a book cart (what you see in libraries). That will allow you to store more titles once processed and you can then wheel them to say your packing section. Buying a book cart new is probably going to be expensive, but you can pick one up for near nothing at flea markets, or at a fire sale when a library closes. Or if you have a friend who is handy with tools, they can even make you one to specification.
That a great break down of whats going on in your head. I buy bulk deals all the time not video games. I completely agree you because I'm asking the same questions in my head when doing my calculations.
I love the channel and the work that you have put into your business! You have inspired me to start small reselling of my collection on the side. One thing I find daunting is the sheer amount of research you have put into the business and I am in awe of how you can keep all of it straight. Great work!
Just wanna say how great this sort of video is for the upstart of resellers I think its great for new and existing.. Absolutely love your content that you release always checking youtube to see if you release a new video... Great stuff Caleb keep up the wonderful work.. May bliss & financial freedom come to you much love and appreciation man keep it up!
Two more factors for your x-axis: cash flow and storage. Can you afford to tie up x amount of dollars right now? Do you have the space for the inventory, and if so would it be better used for other inventory (opportunity cost)?
$5000 profit for a few days of cleaning, processing, and listing video games sounds like a dream career to me. I work for a company, and it takes me over 240 hours to earn $5000. If that was a "brutal" deal, and you get lots of good deals, your business is killing it. Be thankful.
Do you have a video on advice on Amazon sales and how to get started specifically with the process of video games? Thanks in advance. I love this channel!
Why not have your own website and sell direct to consumer? could you imagine not paying Fees ( maybe only pay pal ). Especially if your selling 100's of thousands a year even saving 10 percent is 10's of thousands extra in your pocket.
I am a new viewer...Thanks for making content like this. It is valuable for my reselling business. After watching several of your videos and I am curious how you ended up choosing Amazon as your primary selling platform. I have thought about it before and am nervous to move away from eBay as my return percentage is incredibly low. From the outside, it seems like Amazon has a huge return percentage that could crush a small reseller.
The biggest issue that everyone had was that the dude had initially over-inflated the price.... which judging by your profits was 100% true. Judging by your number of $5000 profit, it was really only ~$12-13k in games (as you said Amazon charts higher)... Thus at your 60% for good stock, you should have only paid around $6-8k... which is what everyone was saying it was worth. Considering labour and time, @ 700 games+ you're only profiting $5-7/game.... If you're paying yourself/employee more than $20-25/hr you're only really breaking even or losing money depending on if it takes more than 10min total to process/ship/otherwise. The math on this deal just doesn't make sense... scale equals less margins and more labour, and more tied up capital... therefore it should be lower percentage paid. It kinda goes against everything you've said previously.
how much money do you think you are missing out on by only selling amazon type of inventory? I'm thinking of CATRP in this scenario, as the guys over there are selling across multiple platforms. Wouldn't it benefit the business as a whole to still take in the boxed retro games/similar stuff with resale value?
I think they should be charged twice as more what the bulk deal is worth. Especially Caleb should have to pay more because he is not going to play any games that he buys. There are so many real gamers out there who will enjoy to play the games that Caleb buys.

High praise, thanks a bunch!

Awesome idea!
2 minutes in and I'm already liking it. These are my kind of videos, I just love to learn as much as possible on how to source in an efficient way.
Even tho I'm not really a reseller it’s really interesting to watch. Keep up with your good work!
Loving the Quantity & Quality of these Pesale videos lately, Caleb! Thank you & keep it up!
Looks very aligned with the 5S system:
Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain
(A terminology chart I picked up in manufacturing)
A man of the people! Great vid.

Thanks for the kind words!
I’m only a minute into the video and I’m absolutely DIALED into this content. These are by far my favorite kinds of videos on this channel>>>>>
Caleb! Thank you for another vid! Financial freedom!
Still waiting for a spinoff called Spanky's Corner

Many people forget how much work it is... very diligent 👍
Secretly , your just creating a " Santa's work shop" like space. love the plans!
9/10 Patrick impression. The video was pretty good too.
That was a very good Patrick impression!

We Stan Renix Pesale
Every video Caleb in his own way tries to tell us he got ripped off by RGT85 😂

you need to do a video about how you do taxes on a bulk buy like how do you say how much you pay for what game

For anyone who criticises his offers, they don't need to accept it. It's their choice at the end of the day.
It's the f around, find out chart
I am very big into reselling games. Excited to watch this!
DUDE WTF I GOT SO SCARED WHEN SPANKI SCREAMED... LIKE WTF
Feels like winning with money
Dang I thought I was the only one who still remembered that
@@renixpesale some things are too good to forget
Those Xbox 360 games are going to be able move ? I resell games and Xbox 360 seems like a bad investment. Switch is the 1 seller for me.
anybody know what his amazon seller name is?
With that 10-20% of stuff that you would be taking in to a Game store why don't you use that for a Whatnot?
Really just the opportunity cost of that time
Also was there a reason you painted the room in black eggshell?
Going to need to take out some student loans for this degree.
Is there a way to find the games that you sell on Amazon?
How did I not know about this Channel 😭

Good Patrick lmao
Renix Pesale is much smarter than Phoenix Resale
new channel: Degree-nix Resale?

Totally, they crush it with the diverse business model. I'm just trying to keep my operation small so we benefit from platform focus
Hey! Can you link that exact dry erase board please?
The old Re Pe Degree
What are your thoughts on sourcing via Whatnot? Selective, maybe 40/50% of net profit is what I look for, but wondering if it’s worth my time.
Do you polybag all the games you send to fba? I don’t think it’s required prep so I’m curious about if you’d recommend that. Thanks!
yep
Love the content...i sell good stuff. But gamers are always looking cost price. Its hard work to make 10 percent
Where do you sell all of your retro games?
Do you think the market for pshyical media will be affected after 2024 big box retailers will stop carrying media?
Do you ever have an issue with fakes/reproduction copies finding their way into your inventory or from sellers?
Yeah every so often, less than 1% though
Can anyone explain why you would sell high end games to him if you know how to use EBay? I understanding low to mid-tier, but high end games.
Because ebay always has huge risk. You avoid fees, taxes, charge backs, etc. You get fast safe cash and he takes all the risk.
@@ryangonzales6542 I can see that. Thanks.
Watched this 3 times
I do have an urge to create a slide deck on this video. Would anyone be interested in that?
This guy needs to hire an editor
Wow what a hater hank this guy is!
I know a editor called Riff that works for free

Lmao what? That’s a dumb reason why someone should pay more, it’s nobodies business what someone does with a game after they purchase it.
I found him!
Hi Editor Riff LOL
