Gagan Deep Bakshi SM, VSM or G. D. Bakshi (born 1950 in Jabalpur ) is a retired Indian army officer. He is from the Jammu and Kashmir Rifles . He was awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal for commanding a battalion in the Kargil War.

He is the author of 46 prominent books. Gen. Bakshi is known by his achievements in war but with me he was full of heart, emotions, love for our motherland & our roots which lies in vedas.
