He actually tried to cut weight before he found out Izzy's baby momma still had all the maternity weight on. At best he managed to enter fight night less dehydrated than he would be for MW, but his opponent planned to cut weight for LHW from the get-go and weight 220 lbs at fight night.

I had Marvin winning 3 rounds. Costa definitely won the fifth. And I think I was iffy on one round. But even without the point deduction I had it 48-47 Vettori.

Those kicks were nasty, but the damage done wasn't enough to offset the volume of Vettori IMO. If Costa had gotten a few more through or a knockdown he would have won the round.

You made it look like Costa won. He landed harder shots but I felt like Marvin controlled the fight for 4 hounds. 5th was definitely Costa's and Marvin was rocked in the 2nd but was way too active to score less than 3 hounds for Marvin.

This was a banger of a fight. Costa and Vettori never disappoint when they fight (except that one time when they completely shit the bed) but this was an fantastic fight.

Agreed. Marvin did a lot of damage to Costa. Had him tagged and hazy multiple times throughout the fight. The leg kicks by Costa were impressive, but in no way evened the score or tilted the bout in Costa’s favor.

@@mmafuturist It was a close round. I went with Vettori on volume, he hit Costa on the chin a lot more than Costa kicked him in the legs and body. Those kicks were nasty, but the damage done wasn't enough to offset the volume of Vettori IMO. If Costa had gotten a few more through or a knockdown he would have won the round.
