There are a good number of supershops in Dhaka, Khulna, Chittagong, Sylhet etc big cities. As i am posted to different areas in Bangladesh i have also found small supershops in other small towns too. This is not new to Bangladesh. Besides Unimart, there are Agora, Minabazar, Shopno, Mostofa Mart, CSD and many many more... I don’t know why it seems surprising...😊 And sure we have local bazars too...😊

This one is Unimart Gulshan 2 There is another one in Gulshan 1...Lavender super store Gulshan 2, Wholesale club in Jamuna Future park, Unimart Gulshan 2 is our favorite super market to shop.
They've got one in amberkhana sylhet that I visited. I was impressed as well but what made me laugh is the amount of staff working there and keeping an eye on everyone lol ... must be a lot of shop lifters.

For some unknown reason, all tourists are introduced to the raw wholesale food market of Karwan bazaar rather than these modern supermarkets as though Dhaka doesn't have any other types of retail outlets. Have you been to Aarong ?
You can see multiple super shop/market in Dhaka & around the country but jamuna future park super shop is biggest among all. There you could find all sort of items that one needs in one place.
There are many super markets, the unimert may have 4 branches but there are other companies,they have their super market, but we love to buy fresh food from local traditional shops.
Besides the majority of the bengali community, there are some ethnic minority communities living in Bangladesh, and u can see them in Chittagong Hill tracts/ Sylhet/ Mymensingh region.
You can have some delicious burgers. Go to chillox have some burger I personally recommend you to try some burgers there I love that place anyway love from bangladesh.❤
