- Hi everyone! Today we have another speed renovation for my Megahood of Desiderata Valley and Riverblossom Hills. I've kind of burnt myself out on renovations after Pleasantview, so I've decided to leave the community lots for now and just focus on the families so I can begin playing. I really struggled with this house, but I'm absolutely in love with the finished result!
I've also taken inspiration from Dramatisim and turned the dance studio at the back into a home business for Hannah so I'm really excited to play around with that! Dramatisim is who introduced me to the idea of rotational play back when I was in university, and it's been an absolute game changer for the Sims 2 for me! I can relate the pain of renovation you've talked about, especially when it comes to Desiderata Valley. The house looks cozy and warm as always though! Great job!

I agree, the DV houses are all so big and empty and... weird for no reason. You definitely made something gorgeous! It's one of my favorite hoods so I love seeing people make it pretty :)

Very lovely build. I have been watching a lot of Sims 2 videos lately and it's making me want to go back and play. I played sims 2 until 2018 and finally made the switch to sims 4 haha.

I understand why they did such a long early access, the community have asked for a 'farming' pack for years and they're proud it etc - but yeah I think it was a bit too long and kind of put some people off with it being shoved in their faces for weeks before anyone else could even play! I'd only ever used the lactose intollerant trait on my simself, any others most likely not 😅 That pineapple wall paper is so cute! I love the colour scheme, feels very coastal to me 🥰💖
Yeah also a lot of the early access came from Sims Camp as well which I didn’t realise at the time. If I had mods that allowed more trait slots I’d probably give it to my sims, or if it was able to be unlocked through reward points that would be a nice option too! Thank you so much Aria! 🥰❤️

I definitely agree that Desiderata Valley is a "bulldoze and start again" sort of neighborhood. The unoccupied houses especially are UGLY. This renovation looks super nice, though!

20:05 where are those sofas & that rug from? I’ve never seen the sofas, but I had that rug in my game previously, and haven’t been able to find it again :(
Off the top of my head I can’t remember, I know I got them on Tumblr though 🤔 when I’m next on PC I’ll have a look through my likes and see if I can find them 🥰

Where did you get all your roof colors from ?
I found them on mod the sims! I have a couple of different sets in my game. I have some defaults that come with white trim, a set by Pooklet and I think I have some extra ones too 🤔
