- Monica, a young girl from Romania, with dreams of becoming a concert pianist, falls victim to sex trafficking and ends up as a prostitute in Bergen, Norway. We witness her daily struggles locked up by a ruthless pimp in a shabby apartment.

this video really opened my eyes, the accurate display of how psychological abuse victims experience lead to serious issues. the relationship between Monica and the traffickers was built on power and control, the victims are often misled into the belief that they are being taken to a better life (hence the trafficker telling Monica she’d get a lot of money) or just get beaten into submission. you can see how Monica was beaten after that trafficker saw her trying to get help. she wasn’t “tamed” enough, that’s why he physically assaulted her. he isn’t a man, that’s a boy who needs to beat woman to feel powerful. this isn’t a white and black experience, this is serious shit that needs to be taught to high schoolers. so many minors end up trafficked for vile things. i liked how you showed the small indicators of how human traffickers tend to pick their victims, he NEVER talked individually with Monica. there was always a group of men behind him and his answers sounded wrote down. thank you for sharing awareness, good job to the cast for portraying such an authentic representation and the team for helping making this short film with such gold details that get unnoticed. it brought me to tears and reminded me of the ugly reality we live in
edit: human traffickers tend to be in groups and more dominant and persistent when you decline. it’s the small details that matter

I keep telling myself that if I were to meet a female being trafficked, I'd ask her name and enough information to give police to help her. Then again, I'm thinking, why am I in a place where trafficked girls are? I don't pick up street girls and never enter brothels, so how will I ever be a modern-day slave helper if I'm not in the dark business of slave purchasing myself?
If the depiction of the movie is true how will you help with her identity? She's probably far away the next day. The police, to my awareness, is trying to find them already. Brothels, to my knowledge, are fairly legal and the people working there do it freely. The ones trafficked are way harder to free (you'd probably need to kidnap them which in itself is obviously illigal).

Heartless and greedy. They will shake when they meet Jesus who is pure love and holiness. Hopefully they repent before its too late. Or their torment will be forever
they are not heartless they just can't stand seeing me....... on the top...... it doesn't do any affect me cause they are compelete strangers and i don't care about them............but trust me they will be punished in hell forever and i know god exist and he will punish them greatly

So sorry to hear that, but do you have any tips or advice for spotting one?
I know I sound like a bad guy, but believe me, some men I can't speak for all, could actually be screwing one, or be in bed with one and not notice at all due to the way they're trained to behave.
I'm not saying anything, but in another sense, it's quite hard for the average man to notice sometimes.
Are there any symptoms? Behaviors? Eye contacting ways, or facial expressions? There could be something that we'll notice one way or another, could you tell us? Just in case any guy sees one being trafficked and not notice it.
I watched the other trafficked videos and realize some men didn't even noticed it.
I've seen how people sell stolen goods or fake products on the street market.
They sell it off the streets and people are actually buying it. Some good shoppers didn't even noticed they're stolen!
However, one thing for sure, is the fact that some items have certain metals which are extremely hard to remove, that only their staffers or third party salesman know how. Which made it quite clear it's stolen.
Same goes to trafficked girls and ladies. Are there some tags, or symptoms we're able to notice?
Anything not brought or won rightfully always, nearly always got a trail to follow.
Hopefully you could help us all, cause it would save more trafficked lives one day. Also save the good men who actually didn't even realize they're trafficked in the first place.

Well.. since Monica is "your" character, she has to be different. Not the everyday innocent victim in this trade. And you've made this evident to your audience in a few scenes.. Why does the man wait for a moment before entering his car..? Why does he stop to watch her..at times? As if deep down, he does suffer pangs of guilt.. BUT HE CAN'T CHANGE HIS WAYS NOW.

You also get the impression that he knows something about music. The way he compliments her, about the last song.
Could be there's some sensitivity left..
in the trafficker, who is fully aware of the nature of their business..
But let's talk facts.
THEY ARE DEEP INTO THIS NOW,
AND IT PAYS THEM WELL.
(The..bitter reality is.. barely one to two percent of these victims get rescued)
You often hear of young girls bullied on the internet, and forced into this life.
But it's the first time that you've so successfully portrayed.. HOW AN ACCOMPLISHED ARTIST TOO..CAN FALL A PREY TO SUCH PEOPLE!
Question remains : Is there anyone left in today's world..who can be trusted..?

There's also a significant moment in the film towards the end. You see the trafficker bend down..and watch her hand closely... Why..?
(It's not too remote to guess, that he too, once, played the piano..and this woman, apparently reminds him of his past.. not without a touch of melancholy..)

Excelent film! it is the reality. The film did not show. But it is implicit. that is a film to meditate. Are they the victim? Are they the victim of their wishes? they want to be famous. They want to lead luxurious life without working hard. They want marry a rich man. they want expensive bags, shoes, international travel. There is a price for everything. Nothing is given for free or kiss of a hand.
This is human trafficking, it’s nothing to meditate upon the motivation that got these victims in that vulnerable place. The traffickers trick people by promising real jobs, hard working jobs, that are paid a decent amount with no qualifications needed, just sick animals profiting off naivety and poverty. This is much more common than sudden forced abductions and is the reason why this industry thrives.
So you somehow blame the victim? I am speachless. I hope your country it is never found in the situation that you have to leave to find a decent life elsewhere.

Здравствуйте, Гуннар, сначала даже не хотела досматривать, меня заинтересовало произношение девушки)) когда она говорила с мамой, я поняла, что даже румынские диалоги выучили, довольно неплохо в этом плане, вообще актриса справилась, но не по сюжету - это уже к сценаристам. Я понимаю, что сюжет просто для фона, но мягко говоря характер этой девушки совсем не румынки. Кстати, вопрос возник, неужели у вас есть бомжи?? Вот про это снимите)
