I had a Saisho blender, kettle and toaster, that I got when I just moved in a year ago. None of them lasted a year. Hopefully this was just a fluke and the blender pulls through. Lovely vlog, Jayan.
Yes it was a fluke. I had a low current that’s why but it works perfectly when i use a stabilizer. Fingers crossed 🤞🏾 i hope it doesn’t get bad before 1 year

The Gummy Palace organizing continues! I like my eggs to be omelets with cheese, fried mushrooms, chopped ham and assorted spices… to get air out of a Ziploc bag, start rolling the bag starting from the full side up to the zipper, and then zip it. No Onga, but we use Maggi or Knorr… are they about the same? A day eating Egusi Soup is a great day, indeed 😉. The deep green and orange colors are so appetizing, in themselves. Sorry about the electric blender, but even when NEPA provides electricity, it is low current 😐. C’ya!

Hi Jayan, I have an idea for your bathroom which is temporary and you don't need to remove the tiles. You could cover them with shower curtains with nice patterns🍓 It should be quite doable to attach them with extension rods or maybe double sided tape, depending on the walls above ❤ sending greetings from Berlin! Okay so i hope this doesn't come off as rude or anything, but since you brought up the mismatched tiles in the bathroom: I've notived across several Nigerian content creators' channels that dodgy craftsmanship seems to be common - furniture isn't stable, tiles are wonky, paint is often chipped in apartments, etc. So I was wondering if this is because going to school for these professions is perhaps very expensive, or if it's a matter of "i kind of know how to do this one thing sort of decently so lemme see if i can make some money off of doing it to make a living" kind of thing? No disrespect or anything, its just something ive been wondering! 🌻
You are not being rude,it is what it is. Nigerian artisans will stress you! To get quality jobs done one must have enough money for that. It is usually a case of this man knows this job so i will learn under him. There isn’t any school for stuff like that here so people just learn from someone in the field. It’s painful for real. It is hard getting the exact apartment you want if you don’t have so much money. It’s either you take one you can manage and fix it up to your taste but I don’t want to do that because I don’t plan on living here for another year.
