  • I use easy to find materials, including feathers and sculpey to make nice looking palms! You can use the same technique to make these palm trees in any scale.

I couldn't stop watching, James, even though my layout is in West Virginia. Fascinating modeling. I think WV could use a couple.

Awesome tree James! I’m modeling the Northeast but I’ll find an excuse to try and make a palm tree or two! Thank you so much for showing us how you made it!

Amazing work, to bad there aren't any palm trees in Colorado modeling! It's also good to know I'm not the only one who's modeling space looks like a paint bomb went off!!

Excellent video and a very useful technique. I don't need palm trees at the moment but I am saving a link to this video for a future project. Much appreciated sir. :)

Great video! I will be using your techniques to model Sabal Palmetto trees which are common here in South Carolina. Do you have any suggestions on how to model the "Chinese finger hold" pattern for the trunk? Thanks.

Isn't there (I know there is) A Pine Tree and a Palm Tree next to each other on the 99. Suppose to represent the boarder between North and South California.
